Playroom Chalkboard, Cork Board, and Whiteboard

Crafty Sisters shared a sneak peak of these these beyond adorable message boards that they created after seeing a similar version at Pottery Barn:

I am pretty much in love with anything that is shaped like a house.  And I love it even more when you add something practical to such a great shape.  They are perfect and would look great in the girls room across from their doll house book shelf.

If you need them as badly as I need them then you can head over to Infarrantly Creative and see their tutorial on how to make a set of your own.  Or you can head over to Pottery Barn and pay over $500 for their School House Utility Set:

Lemonade Stand Headboard

We have been looking at new homes, which means going through a LOT of models.  I tend to forget my phone in the car,  so I often miss out on things I would love to show you.

I was really glad that I had my phone today when I saw this cute headboard:

The entire room had a lemonade stand theme and I loved the awning and the lemonade stand that stood in for the headboard.

And the canvases that hung next to the bed were pretty cute too:

I was thinking how cute an entire North Pole village would be with signs for toy shops and candy shops hanging frow awnings. I guess that would be a little overboard for Christmas though!  But a canvas painted with hot cocoa and candy canes would be cute!

Petti Skirt Display

I have been looking for a way to hang up all the pettiskirt-esque skirts my girls have.  They share a dresser and there just isn't room in their drawers for all that fluff.   I could hang them in their closet, but that would be all I could hang in there.

I thought about hanging them in a garland like way, but the colors just don't go well enough to spread them out like that.  Trust me I tried every combination.  I spent a good hour in my living room rearranging them on the floor before I surrendered.  It was mismatched and not in the cute way that I love.

I was about to give up hope and just leave them in the laundry basic where they currently reside, and then I saw this image from Joy's Hope:

As much as I would love to have a cute vintage ladder in their room to hang their skirts on, I don't have a cute vintage ladder and I do have a little girl who would think climbing up that ladder was way too much fun.  So although not perfect, it has given me hope that I will find something I love.  I am actually contemplating something like this towel rack idea:

Or a cute coat rack.  Or....any suggestions?

Halloween Tutu Room Decor

Icing Designs posted a tutorial on how to make these long, cute tutus that she used for her daughters Halloween costume:

Even though Halloween is over, she is right when she says that tutus are fun all year round.  Plus, with Christmas coming they can be a fun handmade gift to give.

But looking at that picture I think they would make a pretty cute decoration in my girls rooms too.  They each have a couple of pettiskirts in different colors and we just don't have the drawer space in their room for them.  Now I am trying to think of a cute way to hang them in their rooms.  Any suggestions?

PEZ Wall Art

Stephanie from Under the Table and Dreaming is a genius.  She turned PEZ Dispensers into something that you would actually want to hang on your wall:

Isn't that amazing.  It is like magic!  And you can find a PEZ dispenser for just about any bedroom theme.  I would even venture and say that you could find a PEZ dispenser for EVERY kids bedroom theme imaginable!

You can check out the transformation of these cute candy dispensers HERE.

Ribbons and Tulle

I am going to be gone at a funeral all day today.  My Dad's twin sister passed away last week.  So I thought today would be a great day to pull out some of the posts from my archives.  If you have been reading my blog for a year, you may have seen these posts already, but they are great reminders!  And if not, then they are new to you, so pretend like I didn't tell you they were reposts.

This would be so cute in the girls' room:

Feather Boa Wreath

I found this thing...we will call it a thing for lack of a better description...while looking for Valentine's Wreaths.

And although I am not a fan of this particular wreath, it did remind me that my daughter has two pink feather boas in her dress up box. I am thinking that we could do something in the way of a Valentine's Garland with them. What do you think? Crazy or cute.

You can be honest. I won't be offended!
