I Heart Valentine's Day Party

I do *heart* Valentine's Day, but this post is about the I Heart Valentine's Day Party from Anders Ruff that Hostess With The Mostest featured:

These pictures make me glad I have apothecary jars and mini trifle dishes:

These soda bottles decorated with cute printed paper are actually my favorite:

So easy to make for a party or for a unique Valentine.

And I love that instead of the typical tissue paper pom poms or paper lanterns, they decorated above the table with these paper plate polyhedrons:

Valentine's Tree

I took all of the decorations off of my Christmas tree at the beginning of the week.  I didn't take the tree down right away because the box has seen better days and I needed to find some new storage method.

Then school started back up and my husband left town for work and my oldest got sick and...you get the picture. I am now tempted to just leave it up and decorate it for Valentine's Day.  The kids could make some cute paper garlands and the lights are already white.  Add some glittery hearts and I think I could pull it off.

And then I saw this cute Valentine's tree at Then She Made:

So now I am even more tempted to just leave my Christmas tree up all year and decorate it for every holiday.  Well, at least the winter holidays!

Fabric Rose Heart Wreath

Ruffled Cake

Ruffles are everywhere these days, and they are even cute on cakes:

It is really too bad this wouldn't look as cute in black or orange so you could use it for a Halloween party.  It is just going to have to stay a pretty wedding/shower/birthday cake idea.

Pink Acorn Wreath

I am still debating over what I want to hang on my door for Valentine's Day and I found this cute pink (raspberry) wreath from Dana at Made:

Can you guess what is under that raspberry spray paint?  Until a couple of days ago I never would have know.  It used to look like this:

And only because Olivia became obsessed with an acron on Saturday did I even know that this is what an acorn looks like without it's cute little cap.

I wonder if I can still find enough acrons to make a wreath.  Or maybe I will have to go for the lima bean version.

Feather Boa Wreath

I found this thing...we will call it a thing for lack of a better description...while looking for Valentine's Wreaths.

And although I am not a fan of this particular wreath, it did remind me that my daughter has two pink feather boas in her dress up box. I am thinking that we could do something in the way of a Valentine's Garland with them. What do you think? Crazy or cute.
