Cupcake Fondue
Talk about a fun idea for a birthday party! (or a Valentine's Party because we don't have any birthdays coming up.) Cupcake fondue:
You can get the recipe over at Pint Size Social for the fondue frosting, but ganache would work really well too. Or heck, have both! with the hundreds of toping choices you could have endless cupcake possibilities.
And of course you need those cute pink polka dot cups too!

Ice Cream Cake
I don't really feel like baking a birthday cake (or cleaning up the kitchen after someone else bakes it) so I think we might steal this idea from Say YES to Hoboken:
Talk about the worlds easiest ice cream cake!

Giant S'mores Cake
I saw this on Cool Crafts Site:
It is hard to tell from the picture (because there is no frame of reference) but this S'more is a giant cake! The 'marshmallow' in the middle is actually an entire round cake. You can see how it was made over at The Birthday Blog.
And the 'chocolate', well that is actually a big bar of chocolate that they made! Same with the home made graham crackers! You can get the recipe for those HERE too.

Ruffled Cake
Ruffles are everywhere these days, and they are even cute on cakes:
It is really too bad this wouldn't look as cute in black or orange so you could use it for a Halloween party. It is just going to have to stay a pretty wedding/shower/birthday cake idea.

Balloon Cake
I will have to add this to the list of balloon party ideas that I love:
The idea came from Inchmark Journal. At the same party they opted not to have a pinata and used this instead:
Each of those balloons contains 15 pieces of candy! I can't wait to hear how she did it! She hasn't posted it yet, but you can be sure I will link up to it when she does! All I know is you need a wet/dry vac to do it.
If you want to check out the rest of her great balloon party ideas, you can see them HERE.

Balloon Invitations
Hip Hip Horray compiled balloon invitation ideas and some of them are pretty amazing!
Armelle threw a fabulous circus party and included a red balloon for her guests to bring to the party:
The balloon even contained a password for a prize at the circus. Pretty cute.
FPO created these save the dates for a customer, who took the balloon idea a step further and had the information printed directly on the balloon:
And On Hand + Modern took it even on step further and filled them with hellium before she delivered them:
These would have to be hand delivered and you might even have to fill each one up RIGHT before you delivered it. She used water balloons so that they would fit in the little boxes and they didn't hold the helium long. You could do it with bigger boxes or you could even just put the cute tag on the bottom of a regular balloon and leave it on someones doorstep! (As long as the card attached also served as a weight to keep the balloon from floating away. AND you were sure the person was home!

40 Birthday Ideas
No, not 40 ideas for birthdays, but an idea for a 40th birthday! My oldest sister is turning 40 next month. I should be nice and send her this:
But it will be much more fun to send her this:
Bubble gum is much more fun, and more colorful, than pop rocks. And it is much more fun for the baby in the family (that's me) to torment her older sisters! Bwahahahahaha!
You can see more 'getting older' birthday ideas at Kendra's blog My Insanity and at Poca Cosas.

Half Birthday Cake
I found this at Bake at 350:
Usually when I post something from her blog it is a recipe. But this isn't about the recipe. Don't get me wrong, the Almond Crusted Butter Cake looks and sounds delicious, but it is the idea behind the cake that I love.
This is only half of the cake. Why? Because they are celebrating a HALF birthday! Such a fun idea. You could even go a step further and cut the paper plates and napkins in half. Wouldn't work for the cups though.

I Scream Double Scoop Ice Cream Party
See these two cutie pies:
They belong to See Jane Blog. And they had a birthday. And there mom threw the cutest 'Double Scoop' Ice Cream Party for them. As if the whole twins/double scoop idea wasn't cute enough, you should SEE the party! I had a hard time deciding what my favorite thing was, but it might be these tissue paper pom poms turned ice cream cones:
Or one of a dozen things that were on the dessert table:
Look at those waffle cone bowls. Or spoons that look like ice cream cones. Or that actual ice cream cones!
You can see the rest of her cute party HERE. Make sure to check out the giant ice cream cone games!

Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday
Do you have little ones? Do they watch Yo Gabba Gabba? Did I even spell that right? (Actually I know I did because I had to look and originally I spelled it with one b.)
We don't watch it. We are more Ki Lan and Mickey people in this house. Although I have been heard to say 'Don't Bite Your Friends' because of the Jack Black/Gabba Gabba commercial.
'Don't Bite Your Friends" It is fun. Try it!
If your little one is into the whole Gabba Gabba Universe, you will want to check out this party from KiKi's List:
I love that the kids could take a picture as their favorite Gabba Gabba character:
You can check out the rest of the party and see where she got all of her fun goodies HERE.

Bingo Card Banner and Wallpaper Pennants
Holly from Holly Mathis Interiors just threw a party for her son Henry and one of the decorations was this fun bingo card banner:
I think those are pages from a book in between each bingo card. I think the pages from an old book would make a cute pennant banner too! Like this one:
But with pages from an old book instead of wall paper. Although wallpaper is a pretty clever idea too!
You can check out the bingo card banner and the rest of Henry's party HERE.

Striped Birthday Cookies
I love stripes. Polka dots are all fine and cute, but if I had to choose I would choose stripes. Which is probably why I love these birthday cookies from I Am Baker:
I love that she shares her great ideas with us on her blog, I just wish there was a way that she could actually share her talent. Like give some of it to me. I don't think my stripes would be quite this straight.

Happy Birthday Bow
I love this idea from Martha's Craft Department:
This gift topper is made with just some cardstock and an exacto knife. And a steady hand and some patience. You can see the tutorial on how to make your own HERE.

Cupcake Bib
Chica and Joe have a tutorial (that is really easy...no sewing! Just felt and a glue gun!!) to make this super cute cupcake bib:
I think there should be a law that requires everyone to make one of these for their daughter's first birthday. Okay, maybe only if you are having a cupcake themed party, but it should be highly recommended for everyone.
You can check out how to make one HERE.

Ticket to Party
Look at the very cute invites that Taylor from Mary Janes and Galoshes had made for her sons birthday party:
Aren't they so fun! And you could use them for more than a baseball theme. You could do movie tickets, or tickets to a play, or if you were doing a car themed party you could even send out speeding tickets with the date and time they are to appear in court.
