Valentine's Day is all about the conversation hearts. Not actually to eat, but the hearts and the colors and the phrases, they are just classic Valentine's Day!
Here is a cute sugar free way to bring the classic conversation hearts into your home:
I love these conversation heart pillows. You can get the tutorial for these great pillows over at Sweetie Pie Bakery.

Candy Heart Bracelet
I am pretty sure my girls would love these candy heart bracelets from Brown Paper Packages:
Lou would love making them and wearing them and Ruby would love eating them. Either way it would be a fun project for everyone. I might have to talk to Livi's teacher about making them in her class. I will have to find a way to make a boy version, maybe with a little less ribbon.

Heart Shutters
Kelly from My Dear Trash made these very cute heart shutters for her Country Kitchen:
And I think they would be such a fun Valentine's Day decoration for my mantle. A little late, but I maybe I can get some made before next year! And if you love country decor you might just want them around all year.
You can see her full post HERE.

Chocolate Souffle
Chocolate Souffle Cupcakes...YUM:
You can get the recipe for these at Smitten Kitchen. And you don't need ramekins for these! Of course if you DO have cute ramekins, Southern Living has a great recipe for a really easy chocolate souffle.
What you need:
2 teaspoons butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 (4-oz.) semisweet chocolate baking bar
1/3 cup seedless strawberry jam
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 egg whites
What you do:
1. Grease bottom and sides of 4 (6-oz.) ramekins or 4 (1-cup) stainless steel dry measuring cups evenly with butter. Lightly coat bottom and sides with sugar, shaking out excess. Place cups on a baking sheet; set aside.
2. Microwave chocolate and jam in a small microwave-safe bowl at MEDIUM (50% power) 1 1/2 minutes, stirring at 30-second intervals until melted. Stir in vanilla.
3. Beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Stir about one-third of egg whites into chocolate mixture. Fold chocolate mixture into remaining egg whites. Spoon evenly into ramekins. Run tip of thumb around edges of each ramekin, wiping clean and creating a shallow indentation around outside edge of egg mixture.
4. Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes or until soufflés rise and begin to brown on top.
And if you REALY want to crave chocolate souffle, just do a Google image search for some:
See! I tolda ya!

Apple of My Eye
Twig and Thistle has a recipe for these cute little pies on her blog:
and the template for these cute little boxes HERE.
If you have some extra time, they would be a cute Valentine for your friends and family, and if you don't have some extra time you could always put a Hostess Apple Pie inside.

Valentine Garlands
We are getting to the home stretch for Valentine's Day so I thought I would throw out a few more ideas that I have found and just don't have time to post about before the day is actually here! And even if you don't have time to pull them off before next Sunday, at least I won't have to try to remember to post them next year!
Love the fabric in this pennant garland from A Pretty Cool Life:
Real Simple added foil cupcake liners to white Christmas lights to make a sparkly garland:

See Jane's Valentines Ideas
I would like to thank my cousin Jack for this post. He has absolutely NOTHING directly to do with this post. I am pretty sure he doesn't have a crafty bone in his body (although I could be wrong), but he DOES have great taste in women.
He married Katie. I adore Katie. Katie is cute and talented and so is her ENTIRE family!! And Katie has a sister, Jane. And Jane has a blog. See Jane Blog. And all of the very cute ideas on this post come from her blog.
She made a bouquet of some of the fun treats she has found floating around blog land:
Look at these cute creations:
I want one! Actually I want all three. I have issues.
But these! These are my ABSOLUTE favorite:
She made these for her girls to take to preschool! I am off to find some vinyl to copy them! You can see these goodies (and more of her super crafty-ness) HERE. Go say hi and tell her I said hello! And tell her I gave Jack all the credit for her cute ideas!
