Mikael from Starter Home to Dream home used an old tutorial from Centsational Girl to make this gorgeous damask valance for her kitchen:

They only cost $10 to make and took just 30 minutes.  No sewing, just a piece of wood and a staple gun.    Mikael use a little stitch witchery and Kate used some safety pins, but overall a pretty easy (and very cute) valance.

DIY Pelmet Boxes

Okay, until I found this post on Little Green Notebook (I actually found the link on Design Dazzle..shocker! I know! Love that blog.) I wouldn't have known what a pelmet box was. The spell check on Blogger still doesn't know what it is. But it is a really pretty valance. And Jenny has a tutorial on her blog to make these really cute ones:

Ribbons and Tulle

I am going to be gone at a funeral all day today.  My Dad's twin sister passed away last week.  So I thought today would be a great day to pull out some of the posts from my archives.  If you have been reading my blog for a year, you may have seen these posts already, but they are great reminders!  And if not, then they are new to you, so pretend like I didn't tell you they were reposts.
