Felt Christmas Tree Topiary

Speaking of felt Christmas trees, Bliss Bloom Blog made this gorgeous one with white felt:

I think it would look cute in green too!  Maybe even a couple different shades of green.  And you could even prop it up on a painted candlestick from the dollar store like the white ones under these glitter tree:

or red ones like these from This Blessed Nest:

Christmas Wrapping

The Bella Life shared some gorgeous images of some great Christmas wrapping ideas on her blog:

Unfortunately there are no sources for these beautiful images:

Which means there are no tutorials on how to copy them:

Although the candy one I can figure out on my own for sure!  And I am pretty sure Ruby could figure out how to undo that one as well.

I will keep my eyes open for tutorials for these and other pretty Christmas wrapping ideas.  And if you know of any, leave me a link in the comments or shoot me an email and I will make sure to share them and a link to you as well!

Tissue Box House Ornaments

Michele from Michele Made Me challenged her readers to create cute little houses out of a tissue box.  One tissue box.

She gave them a little encouragement by posting these cute little houses that she made:

And the submissions she got from her readers was amazing!  My favorite came from Amy at During Quite Time:

I am trying to figure out if we have time for a tissue box house decorating party in addition to the gingerbread house decorating party!

Say It On The Wall Giveaway Winner

I just announced the two winners of the $20 Gift Cards from Say It On The Wall.  Head over to my review blog to see if it is you!

Rainbow Keyboard

Dear Jon,

If you are trying to think of something to get me for Christmas, I am sort of in love with this:

This rainbow keyboard skin from Top Decal makes me happy.   And I am pretty sure it would fit in my stocking.  Just saying!

Merry Christmas to me!

Lorie

PS - This Snow White iPad one is pretty clever too:

And making your iPhone look like a can of Coke is pretty fun:

but the rainbow keyboard really just makes me happy.

Toy Carousel

We have been house hunting for the past few weeks and I have been in a lot of model homes.  I have seen some really cute ideas, but I have to say that I haven't seen anything quite as cute as this image I found on Say Yes to Hoboken:

And I am pretty sure that carousel that is holding all of the stuffed animals is one of the cutest and most brilliant ideas I have ever seen!  What a great way to store toys.  The only down side I can see is that I know my youngest, and probably my oldest, would try to sit in it and take it for a ride!

Christmas Printables

Craftily Ever After has her tiro of Christmas Printables up:

And like always, all three are free.  Merry On, Wise Men, and the newest, Carol On.

Christmas Tray

Honey We're Home used some wrapping paper to dress up a regular tray for Christmas:

Now not only do I want that cute 'nice' wrapping paper, but I need to pick up a copy of the Food Network magazine!

Christmas Goodie Printables

If you are planning on baking yummy treats to give to your neighbors and want a fun way to dress up your goodies, head over to Lolly Chops and check out the cute (free) printables she is offering.

This is meant for a Chocolate Cobbler recipe, but you could substitute just about anything inside this cute packaging (as long as you cover the part that says Chocolate Cobbler:

She has cute ornament tags:

And designs for Hot cocoa, brownie jars, and more!  Head over and check them out.

Ruffled Table Runner

Becca from Blue Cricket Designs made this ruffled table runner for her Christmas table scape:

You can check out the rest of her table and the tutorial on how to make a ruffled table runner HERE.

Silhouette Winner

The Winner of the Silhouette SD was just announced on my Review Blog.  Go check it out and if it isn't you, remember you can still take advantage of the great deal Silhouette is offering my readers.  Use code bedifferent to get $100 off the Silhouette SD AND some great free goodies!  You can read about the deal HERE.

Matchbox Advent Calendar

I am in love with this matchbox advent calendar from Martha Stewart:

I think it would be so fun to let the kids have next to their beds and I can leave them cute little notes fore each day of the month!

I will have to see if I can find 96 little match boxes at the store!

Flashcard Advent Calendar

I don't know about you, but this year we are excited to get the Christmas decorations out.  I am planning on the traditional day after Thanksgiving decorating activities.

I have a couple of advent calendars that we use every year, but I think I might make one that is a countdown for when we leave for Arizona.  I like this idea from Country Living and I think I might have all of the materials already, which is a big plus:

And I love the little ornaments that are hanging from each flashcard.  The kids can take them off each day and hang them on the tree.

Do you have an advent calendar that you traditionally use or do you like to create something different each year?

Felt Christmas Tree Pillow

Carrie made this cute Christmas tree pillow with hand cut green felt circles:

That Christmas tree would make a cute top to a pair of pajamas for my daughter too, but I am not sure that it would be comfortable to sleep in.  We should probably keep it to a pillow.  You can check out the tutorial over at Dittle Dattle.

Christmas Village Makeover

makeover
Sarah's Closet used some silver paint to turn a mismatched Christmas village into a cohesive set:

And you can do the same thing with a cheap Christmas village from the dollar store, like Heather from Dollar Store Crafts:

And you can even use the idea to add some color to your Christmas decorations or just match your existing decor:

Christmas Tree Clippie

Maria from Agape Love has a tutorial on her blog for this cute Christmas Tree Clippie:

Such a cute little accessory for your little girl.  You could even use the same idea and attach it to a shirt instead of a clippie.  And if you don't have a little girl, or your little girl is a little too big for cute ribbon Christmas trees clippies, you could modify the tutorial to make a cute ribbon ornament.

Free Christmas Printables

Now that the Turkey eating has ceased, Christmas printables are starting to pop up everywhere.

And just when you think you know which Christmas printable you are going to display on your mantel, a couple dozen show up at Show and Tell Saturday and you can't make up your mind which one you want!

Baby It's Cold Outside:

Keep Calm and Merry On:

Wise Men Still Seek Him:

Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Clause:

Merry Christmas To All:

Keep Calm and Kiss On:

I am sure that there will be more popping up as we get closer to Christmas.  Maybe there will be enough to make a garland with!!

Thumb Print Christmas Tree

I think these cute little thumbprint Christmas trees from Brixton Lane are such a fun idea for a family Christmas card.  One tree for each member of your family:

The idea also makes a fun project for your preschooler or a cute ornament to track how cute their little thumbs were each Christmas.

Speaking of ornaments, have you started decorating your tree yet?

Santa Belly Jelly

Amanda posted a tutorial for this cute Santa Jelly Jar Luminary:

I have always loved ornaments that look like Santa's belly and him big belt buckle.  And I love this idea for the glittery luminary as well.  But I think I am going to use this idea to decorate actual jars of jelly!  My sister-in-law made rolls and homemade jelly to give her neighbors last year.  You can make the rolls in the shape of a Christmas tree and you can decorate the jar of raspberry or strawberry jelly to look like Santa's belly!

Santa Belly Jelly!

Silhouette Christmas Crafts

There are a lot of talented ladies that have been making a lot of fun projects with the Silhouette SD.  Here are some of my favorite ideas for Christmas:

Char from Crap I've Made transformed some wood and paper into cute stalking holders:

Jen from Tatertots and Jello used an smooth iron on transfer to transform a cute pillow into a Christmas subway art style pillow:

Prudent Baby used the Sketch Pens to turn regular craft paper into beautiful wrapping paper, an idea I will definitely be stealing:

and Beckie at Infarrantly Creative used vinyl to transformed some dollar store buckets into a cute Advent Calendar:

Check out all of these great projects and then head over to my review blog to enter to win a Silhouette SD of your own!

Snowflake Advent

You only have a few more days to make a Christmas countdown calendar or Advent before December hits, so if you are still looking for ideas I love this idea from Maya*Made:

The fun festive winter colors could be used for other winter holidays and celebrations too.  I am going to make one that counts down to Christmas break!

Christmas Carol Subway Art

Aly and Ash has some Christmas carol subway art for a couple of her favorite Christmas songs:

She is planning on hanging all three of them side by side in black frames, but you could hang one or all because she is giving them to you for free HERE.

I am thinking these would be fun to print out really small on some thick canvas like paper and then put them inside of a glass ornament.

Magnetic Advent Calendar

I love this magnetic advent calendar from Twig and Thistle:

And I love it ten times more when you make it look like a Christmas tree:

Sweet Paul Holiday Magazine

Sweet Paul Magazine is one of the most inspirational magazines out there.  It has gorgeous picture, delicious recipes, and right now if full of beautiful Christmas decorations and party ideas.

Homemade Felt Pizza Shop

Erin from Chris, Erin, & Jayce made this super cute pizza shop kit for her little one:

I think this is a super fun idea for a homemade Christmas gift and so much cuter than anything I have seen for sale in a store for kids.  She made everything from the apron and toppings to the pizza box!  You can check it all out HERE.
