Dream Dollhouse
I didn't think that Kiki could outdo the ENTIRE bedroom makeover that she created last week for CWTS, but I was wrong.
If you think the outside of the house is cute (the Up balloons were a nice touch!), you have to check out the inside! This house has curtains! And even that is just the beginning. I think my favorite room is the kitchen:

Playroom Chalkboard, Cork Board, and Whiteboard
Crafty Sisters shared a sneak peak of these these beyond adorable message boards that they created after seeing a similar version at Pottery Barn:
I am pretty much in love with anything that is shaped like a house. And I love it even more when you add something practical to such a great shape. They are perfect and would look great in the girls room across from their doll house book shelf.

Card Games I Love
The weather was sort of icky all weekend long, so we spent our holiday inside playing card games as a family. I love board games and card games. One of the only things about my kids growing up so fast that I like is that they like to play card games with me. Other than that I wish they were still little.
We played two new games this weekend. Not really new, they have been out for a while, but new to us:
It is a little harder to find than the other two, but totally worth it! This game is less strategy and more speed and competition. I love it.
So what did you do with your day off?

Santa brought SORRY Revenge and I picked up Monopoly Deal when I ran to the store yesterday to pick up lunch. I have to say that I think both of them are more fun than the board games. And they take a LOT less time! Especially Monopoly. The board game seems to go on forever and is way to long to keep my kiddos interested, but we had no problem playing a hand of Monopoly Deal even after three games of SORRY! Revenge.
Monopoly is pretty much a card version of Monopoly, but SORRY! Revenge is like a game of sorry mixed with a game of 21. It also has a little bit of hidden learning for your younger kids. My first grader got some good addition practice in today.
What we didn't play was my all time favorite card game, Wackee Six :

Valentine's Dice Game
Have you ever played LCR? It is a lot like dreidel, but with dice. It has actually become a family tradition to play on Christmas Eve. But we play with dollar bills instead of chips. And we actually don't use the real dice, we just use regular dice.
And for Valentine's Day you could play with heart dice:
or you could switch out the dice to just about any board game and have a Valentine's Day version with little to no effort.

Doll Houses
Lots of lucky little girls got some really cute homemade doll houses for Christmas.
All Things Thrifty made a Barbie dream house using these plans from Rod's Woodworking:
Kristen Duke decorated the house her husband built...even doing a remodel before it showed up under the tree at Christmas:
And Sutton Grace made a modern doll house and shows you the process step by step. Not only does she give you a template, but she shows you how she made the super cute flower boxes with flower:
Now if you are motivated to make one of your own you have some great bloggers to turn to for tips and plans!

Toy Carousel
We have been house hunting for the past few weeks and I have been in a lot of model homes. I have seen some really cute ideas, but I have to say that I haven't seen anything quite as cute as this image I found on Say Yes to Hoboken:
And I am pretty sure that carousel that is holding all of the stuffed animals is one of the cutest and most brilliant ideas I have ever seen! What a great way to store toys. The only down side I can see is that I know my youngest, and probably my oldest, would try to sit in it and take it for a ride!

Homemade Felt Pizza Shop
Erin from Chris, Erin, & Jayce made this super cute pizza shop kit for her little one:
I think this is a super fun idea for a homemade Christmas gift and so much cuter than anything I have seen for sale in a store for kids. She made everything from the apron and toppings to the pizza box! You can check it all out HERE.

Miniature Bow and Arrow
UCreate Kids featured this miniature bow and arrow from The Brooding Hen:
At first I thought it was meant to be a decoration, but then I found out that this little sucker shoots up to 20 feet!
I know a couple of boys, including a Dad, and maybe even a few girls that would think this was really fun! Maybe the Thanksgiving football game will be transformed into some sort of q-tip archery match this year.

Painting with Kids
You might think Ashely from Lil Blue Boo has lost her mind when you see that she is letting little kids paint in a white dress:
But not if you know that she designs really cute and funky kids clothes:
What a fun colorful dress that I know my daughter would love wearing (if she made it herself of course!)

Felt Turkey Template
Naptime Crafts has a template on her blog to make this super cute felt turkey:
This cute little guy is a fun decoration and you could even modify him to make him a super cut place mat, but he is actually intended to be a fun toy for preschoolers. You can take all of the feathers off and rearrange them. Such a fun idea for your little ones.
Another fun idea is to write things you are thankful for on each feather (like leaves on a Thankful Tree) and have this be your Thankful Turkey.

Restaurant Play Set
Twelve Crafts Till Christmas always has the funnest ideas for handmade kids presents. I fell in love with her cute diaper bag and accessories back in September and now I am in love with the Restaurant Play Set:
There is a cute tutorial for an apron and a chef's had and oven mitts, but my favorite is for the waitress apron:
My favorite part of playing restaurant with my kids is when they take orders. Especially Ruby who will try to talk you into what she wants to bring you. I love it! And she would love this cute waitress apron.
