Bacon Mancakes

Have you ever had a bacon pancake?  There is a restaurant in Arizona called Liberty Market and if you are ever in Gilbert for breakfast you should head over and get yourself a stack of them.  There is a pancake place here in Austin, Kerbey Lane, that sells what I think might be the best pancakes in the world.  They don't have a bacon pancake on the menu and I might have to talk to someone about that.

So I have had bacon pancakes.  But when I saw this picture of Beer and Bacon Mancakes from Betty Crocker I was curious to find out what a bacon MANcake was:

These pancakes are made with brown sugar candied bacon and beer.   You use Bisquick, but replace the milk with beer and add in some candied bacon.  I am going to use my favorite buttermilk pancake recipe, but the brown sugar candied bacon is definitely worth a try!  I also think the mug idea is worth trying too.  I am pretty sure my kids would think a mug of pancakes for breakfast was really cool.

Rainbow Stuffed French Toast

I fell in love with Amanda and her blog after seeing these rainbow pancakes:

And now she has made a French toast in beautiful rainbow colors:

I can't wait to try these out!!  You can get the recipe over at I Am Mommy.

Candy Cane Pancakes

After I posted the Christmas pancakes, my favorite cousin-in-law ever added a link to these great candy cane pancakes in the comment section:

The best part is that they have peppermint oil in them, so they are really candy cane flavored pancakes too!  Okay, maybe that isn't the best part.  They are pretty unbelievably gorgeous too!

You have to go and check out Jim's Pancakes IMMEDIATELY!  Because if you think these candy canes are cool, check out the 3D dinosaur bones pancakes that he made:

And one of my personal favorites, the beehive:

I apologize in advance for the hour you will spend looking at these amazing pancakes when you should be wrapping presents or finishing your holiday shopping!

Christmas Pancakes

The Happy Housewife has an easy way to turn a pancake breakfast into a great Christmas tradition:

All you need is a squeeze bottle and your regular pancake batter!n  You could even let the bigger little kids help make the designs.

Practically Perfect Pancake Recipes

I don't think I have ever met a person that doesn't like pancakes.  My husband prefers waffles, but still, he likes pancakes.  They are pretty much practically perfect.  If you don't like pancakes I will try to still be your friend.  Actually, what I will do is try to convince you to try one of these amazing pancake recipes to change your mind.

Amy from The Idea Room has a recipe for Cinnamon Roll Pancakes:

If you don't like pancakes or cinnamon rolls than we might need to find a doctor that can treat your condition.

Our Best Bites has a recipe for Chunky Monkey Pancakes:

Dine and Dish has a recipe for Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes (which I am hoping tastes as good as the lemon poppyseed pancakes from Kerbey Lane):

And if you haven't tried a pancake with bacon in it, then you really haven't lived.  This maple bacon pancake is from A Cozy Kitchen:

So I have to know, what is your favorite pancake?

Spider Web Pancakes

Michelle from So Wonderful, So Marvelous used one of my favorite pancake techniques to make these cute spider web (and spider) pancakes:

She used regular pancake batter and black food coloring, but I think I will try using some cocoa powder to make chocolate pancakes!  Mmmmmm.  Chocolate.  Then I might try this pumpkin pancake recipe too:

And we might have to throw in the the black cinnamon syrup from Not Martha for good measure:
