Christmas Tree Mobile
I absolutely love this idea from Not Martha:
I saw the Christmas Tree Mobiles over at Craft and fell in love. It is a great substitute for a real tree or a really great decoration you could hang inside or out.
I am going to have to figure out where to put on next year and pick up some ornaments on clearance after Christmas.

Painted Glass Pinecones
I have seen painted glass jars before, but I couldn't help sharing these beautiful painted glass pinecones with you:
Chez Larsson made these gorgeous painted glass pinecones using pinecone ornaments and paint. I love that they look like milk glass. And you can use them all winter long.

Ornament Cupcakes
Kim from Sand and Sisal made these beautiful ornament cupcakes:
She used a donut hole, but you could also use a cake or Oreo truffle. They would all be delicious, but I am not sure my attempt would be as beautiful as Kim's. You can see her tutorial for these cupcakes HERE.

Pearl Christmas Bulbs
Crafterberry Bush took some old Christmas bulbs and an old pearl garland and turned them into these gorgeous vintage looking Christmas ornaments:
It is a little too late int he month for me to want to make new ornaments for the tree, but when I am putting them away this year I will think twice before getting rid of something that I can repurpose and make beautiful next year. Or maybe that is just an excuse to never throw anything away!

Window Ornament Holder
A Diamond in the Stuff repurposed an old window into a great way to display her ornaments:
And then she used it to decorate her mantle:
And I love it! I love that she used it to display different patterns of Christmas balls, but it would also be great to display special ornaments or even ones that might be too fragile to have on a tree when you have little ones around.

Ornament Wreaths
I fell in love with ornament wreaths last year when they started popping up on lots of blogs. And I still think the idea is beautiful. And this one takes the cake:
I saw it over at Crafty Sisters. It measures 4 feet across, which for you math people means it has a circumference of 12.5 feet!! That is a whole lot of ornaments!! They estimate over 1000! Be ready to stalk the after Christmas sales if you want to make one of these of your own!

Pennant Ornament
Mandy was surprised that she hadn't seen any posts about pennant ornaments, so she decided to rectify the situation:
It turned out so cute! I am surprised I haven't seen any pennant garlands on trees! You could even hang them upside down and the pennants would LOOK like trees! Or not. Either way you can head over to Sugar Bee Craft Edition and check out how Mandy made this cute ornament.

DIY Sparkly Ornaments
Jennifer from I Art U turned some regular glass ornaments into a bunch of sparkly goodness using all sorts of fun craft goodies:
I have posted about the tinsel idea before and glitter too, but I love that she added sequins to the mix. I love how beautiful they look in traditional Christmas colors, but they are pretty fun in bright colors too:

Christmas Letter Ornament
I saw this cute ornament over at Tracy's Trinkets:
And I love the tradition that goes along with it. When you open the box there is a letter inside. She writes one for her son every year. How fun would it be do do this and then hid it somewhere on the tree Christmas morning. After all the presents are opened they would have to go and find their box and read the letter from Mom and Dad!

Santa's Cookie Wreath and Sugar Cookie Ornaments
I saw these faux sugar cookie ornaments over at Creature Comforts:
and expected to see a cute shot of them hanging on her Christmas tree. I was not expecting the super cute Santa's Cookie Wreath that she used them on:
