Christmas Tree Mobile
I absolutely love this idea from Not Martha:
I saw the Christmas Tree Mobiles over at Craft and fell in love. It is a great substitute for a real tree or a really great decoration you could hang inside or out.
I am going to have to figure out where to put on next year and pick up some ornaments on clearance after Christmas.

Ribbon Mobile or Ribbon Storage
The past couple weeks I have had a few different reasons to dig out my old ribbon collection from back in the days when I used to scrapbook on a regular basis. All of the pretty ribbon, organized by color, sit in a bag in a chest that we use as a coffee table in the front room. It is really sad that they aren't out where you can see them.
Then yesterday I stumbled across this image over on Between U and Me:
She was inspired by this Pottery Barn Teen ribbon mobile:
It makes a cute addition to a girls room, but I think it also makes a pretty great way to store your ribbon out in the open. Instead of securing the ribbon to the frame, you could just loop it through. That way the ribbon remains completely useable, but you also have a beautiful display for your craft room.
It reminds me of this idea from Donna Downey that I fell in love with a couple of years ago:
I cannot tell you how many times I had to talk myself out of buying a dress form! Looking at it now I almost still wish I had!

Paper Stars
City Cradle has a tutorial up for these paper stars:
They would be fun to hang around your house at Christmas time (yes I know it is too early to be talking about Christmas...but we will claim Christmas in July). They would also be cute hung over any party table. But I also thing they would be great on the origami mobile, if you aren't the butterfly type.

Origami Butterfly Mobile
I found this cute mobile on Chez Larsson:
She has it hanging over her desk, I think it would look pretty cute in just about any girls room. And since the butterflies are made out of paper, you can make it match just about anything.

And even if you aren't a fan of the origami butterflies, I love the mobile structure that allows you to clip things on. You could hang pictures, post cards, or about a million other things. And she found hers at the craft store!

Pinwheel Mobile
Hostess with the Mostest posted this pinwheel mobile as a fun idea for party decor:

Outdoor Butterfly Mobile
Pam from Gingerbread Snowflake took some old soda cans and transformed them into this:
With a little more time you could even make the butterflies look like this:
My neighbor has a cute airplane hanging from his tree made of Sprit cans. Now I want to try to make an airplane mobile.
