Salted Caramel Pecan Bars

This would have been a fun treat to share with friends for the holidays, but it will also be a great party snack for the new year:

A Small Snippet shared this recipe for salted caramel pecan bars from Southern Living.   It looks gorgeous and it ingredient list is so easy!  Pecans, graham crackers, brown sugar, butter, whipping cream, vanilla and salt!  All stuff you will probably have in the cupboard after your holiday baking.

Turkey Treats

These cute turkey cookies from Thrive shot straight to the top of my must make list for Thanksgiving:

And even though we won't be in Arizona for Thanksgiving, I am going to be that as soon as my sister-in-laws see them they will be making them for their Thanksgiving dinner too.  They are too cute NOT to make!

I might have to go with a collection of turkey treats, because these turkey pops are too cute not to make too:

and so are these turkey pops:

And if you aren't a cookie person, you can make these rice krispie treat turkeys:

And if you just can't get enough of these cute gobble gobbles, you can see more turkey treats here and here.

Too many choices, not enough turkey themed holidays!

Hot Chocolate Float

image from soChef

We love Hot Chocolate at our house. And we love finding different ways to enjoy our hot chocolate. I have already told you about some of our favorites (peppermint hot chocolate made by stirring it with a candy cane and Mexican Hot Chocolate) but there is one that everyone should REALLY try!

A hot chocolate float.

I first had this 10 years ago at a party. You make the hottest hot chocolate and then serve it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

YUM!

I am thinking that I might have to try it over peppermint ice cream this year. I can't believe I have never done that before!

Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. I mean it is hot chocolate and ice cream. What isn't there to like?
