Pancake Batter Dispenser

I sort of want one of these:
IT is a pancake batter dispenser.  So your have perfectly round pancakes.  And that is all fine and great, but I sort of want it because Stephanie at Sweet Creations uses it for this:

Half of me thinks it is so cool and I should buy it before the other half of me talks me out of it.  What do you think.  Handy?  Or a waste of space?

Ohhh I want one too! That is the coolest thing EVER. I have such a hard time not making a huge mess when I pour pancakes and cupcakes.

Definitely handy.

For 13 dollars, of course you need one. In fact I need one too.

get it! (and now I need one too!)

Use an ice cream scoop for your cupcakes -- they're always perfect and it's quicker than waiting on that batter to drop from the pancake batter dispenser. ;-)

I suggest a large squeeze ketchup bottle ~ you can even store the batter in there, shake it up and squeeze out just what you need on those hurried school mornings :)

I think I want one too.. but then what about thick batter?

an ice cream scoop works just as good and doesn't take up as much space. Just saying.

Go for it. You'll love using it.

i think that the added hassle of cleaning it probably defeats the novelty of perfectly round pancakes or neatly dispensed batter.

handy! I'd use it for cupcakes. It would make it so much quicker. I always spill the batter all over the tin and this looks like it would solve that problem!

Very neat looking -- but I'm wondering how much of a hassle it would be to clean.

I'm loving the squeeze ketchup bottle idea, especially saving extra in the fridge (or mixing some up in advance!)

Hmmm...now you have me wondering about the cleaning. I will have to see if I can find one at Target instead of Target.com so I can check it out. I always have a huge mess to clean up after pancakes or cupcakes anyways, so I am not sure how much more of a hassle it could be. I am a messy cake maker!

I was going to ask if you wanted to clean it too. I often use a large ziploc for cupcakes and just snip off a corner. I saw a friend using a cleaned out coffee creamer bottle for making pancakes the other day. Kelly

Great now I want one too. I think very handy to have. Takes a lot of the mess out of making cupcakes.

SO HANDY! I hate when any batter of any sort gets on the counter, which ineveitably happens with a bowl, measuring cup or spoon. I WANT THIS SOOO BAD- I make pancakes and cupcakes on a regular basis.

Check Williams Sonoma for their pancake pen. I just recently bought one and am already loving all of the different ways I can use it.

I put my cupcake batter in a large ziplock bag, cut the tip off and pipe it in that way. Works a treat. For pancake patter I use a sauce bottle. That way I can make them into shapes for the kids.

I second the ice cream scoop for cupcakes!
and i also use a ketchup squeeze bottle for pancakes every once in awhile, you can make shapes for your kids so easily with it.
