Dining Room Chairs

Remember how I said I keep finding new ideas that remind me of old ideas...

Well every time I post one of these ideas I have people comment that they missed it the first time around. Either because they are new to my blog or because I post a gazillion things a day and they miss it. What? Me post too much? Never!!

So I think I am going to stick with my recycling old ideas into new posts theme for a while.

I found these chairs on Cookiemag.com:

They are orange. Kind of fun, but definitely not my style. And I am pretty sure my hubby wouldn't love them in the dinning room.

But it did remind me of these chairs:

These chairs that I do love. These chairs that I loved so much that that I woke up the first Saturday after I saw this picture and went out garage sale hopping looking only for chairs. I only found one, but it was a great find. It was $5 and it was PERFECT! The family owned a little boutique that they were closing and were selling what was left of their items. I immediately bought it and loaded it in my car.

I couple of days later I replaced the HUGE rolling, spinning, takes up too much room computer chair with my new pretty garage sale find.

Maybe one day I will find seven other chairs that I love and have a mismatched dinning room table set.

Love it! Right now we have the opposite- ladder back chairs from Fred Meyer that all match, but are 4 different colors between the 8 chairs (black, natural, red, and blue.) Pair that with the pickle green and the sunshine yellow walls...and the white bead board wainscoting we plan on installing...going to be a happy room!

That was so mean of you to tell us about your awesome $5 chair and then not show us a pic! Pretty please...?! ;)

this is what I wanted for my wedding, mismatched chairs at long tables. Not what I had but it was pretty great nonetheless! ;)

Hi Lorie...I love mismatched things too...sooooo much more interesting that way! :-) The large ceramic popcorn container in the center of the game board came from Williams Sonoma...on sale for only $7 a year or two ago. The other two popcorn containers were cardboard and I bought those at Party City, I think...again a few years back. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Mismatching isn't my style but I love to go into homes where it's done. It's really neat!

I love all things mismatched too! I am working on my kitchen collection of chairs. It's taking a while because I want them all to be garage sale, thrift store, antique store finds and I want them to be cheap. So far, I have a table and one chair. The table is serving as an island in my kitchen. The chair is parked in front of a computer.
