Where did she go?

Where is this little girl?

This picture was taken two years ago. She was three. Today she is 5. Her father is upset that she broke her promise to never grow up. I am too. But at the same time I am so excited to see who she will become.

My 5 favorite things about Lou La RIGHT NOW!

A few days ago I asked her what she thought would change when she finally turned 5. Her answer: "I will be older and I will have new toys."

She calls nail polish paint nolish. I am fighting with all my heart to keep her from ever finding out it is called nail polish. She only has to hear it once and Paint Nolish will be gone forever.

Any time you tell her that you love her, her reply is you too. She never uses the whole phrase I love you too. That is actually an improvement. She used to just say Too.

She makes up the wildest stories that are so fun to listen to. Today while we were driving home from taking The Boy to school, she saw a hula hoop on someones roof. She then told me that a little girl must have hula hooped really fast and it flew onto the roof. She then decided there was another option. Maybe it wasn't a hula hoop. Maybe it was actually a bracelet that belonged to a giant! "You know, because they are really big!"

She loves her family. She loves to play with her brother, to cuddle with her Daddy, to help her mom, to visit her cousins, to watch her sister, to take care of her cousins. She loves to be with her family.

And I love her!

Happy Birthday Lou La!!

Ah, what a sweet favorites list. When my youngest was around 5 she asked me if I would put another jacket on her nails!!! That is something I will never forget.

Enjoy the fabulous fives!

That is so sweet. So precious. When my sister was young, she pronounced Cosmopolitan magazine "Cause-mop-pole-light-in." We didn't correct her for years, till she was much older, because it was just too cute. Happy birthday to your girl.

So sweet, I love it. I wish I could follow the girls around all day and record all of the funny and sweet little things they say. My five year old still calls Play-doh Clay-doh which I think it is a better name and our 19 month old calls slippers "Peps" not sure why but it sure is cute. Great post today!

Let me tell you, my "yesterday five year old" just got married a week ago. That's a killer walking your "child" down the isle to give her away. We love her guy, but hey, in my eyes she was a child bride.

Good luck on keeping that pretty face young and single.
