Pirate Party
Georgia from Parties by Georgia is one of the great Twitter ladies that stepped up and offered to blog for me a couple of weeks ago. Because of some technical issues I wasn't able to get her post up then, so I wanted to share it with you today.
We have made these as boys and girls and the pirate is blank on the back, easy to fill in. They are made from light wood and each pirate is made from craft papers and accented with a button eye, sequin lips and goggle eye. Each handmade. Guaranteed huge hit! Aargh!
We include lots of pirate hats, eye patches and plenty of gold chocolate coins hidden around the garden. The highlights of the day were our sword fight, men, women & kids and treasure hunt.
Seas ye there......aargh!
Young and old alike enjoy a pirate theme party. We handmade our invitations {and sell them too}We have made these as boys and girls and the pirate is blank on the back, easy to fill in. Transforming the home into a pirate’s hide-out can be easy when working black, red & white.

Pirate Valentines
A Few of my Favorite Things is having a Valentine's Freebie Festival. Everyday she posts a new Valentine's Day goodie that you can download around the web for free. Yesterday it was these super cute pirate valentines:
You can download the girl and boy pirate at Mer Mag and add your favorite pirate phrase to the bottom. I love the heart eye patches that she sewed on too, which would be a great project for your beginning sewer!

The Cutest Thanksgiving Kids Table
Cupcakes and Kisses posted about the cutest, Cutest, CUTEST Thanksgiving kids table idea that I have seen this year. Maybe ever! I am so excited about this that all other ideas have disappeared from my head and I am going to replicate this for the 5 kiddos that we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with in two weeks!
Are you ready to see it? The very talented Lisa Storms created this project for Fiskars:
So many fun ideas and all of them are so easy to create. I love the brown cup with the sail straw:
A regular straw and some white craft foam. So easy! The hardest part will be finding the brown paper cups. I had a hard time finding them last year when I made Mayflower treats like these for the kids table and ended up painting some white ones brown:
I love the pilgrim hat crayon holder too:
But my favorite is the pumpkin pie that opens up to reveal a little pre dinner snack mix:
Are you as in love as I am? You can check out these cute ideas and the rest of the fun holiday ideas over at Fiskars.

Tricorne Hat Cookies
Saw these cookies from Diamonds for Dessert on Edible Crafts:
And now I must find a reason to have a pirate themed party! It is really too bad I didn't see them before the fourth of July because I am pretty sure I could have passed them off as patriot hats for the 4th!
And the best part is that there is a peanut butter cup inside! Cute cookie, peanut butter and chocolate!
You can get the recipe HERE.

Mayflower Place Cards
Parents.com has the cutest tutorial for these kid friendly Mayflower place cards:

They even come with water!!!
We made these for the kids table and they were a huge hit. We might have to extend them to the adult table next time so the adults will stop eating the kids candy!
It would be fun to do an Autumn snack mix in the cups too.

Mayflower Centerpiece
Beth from The Stories of A 2 Z is one talented lady. She saw this cute centerpiece from Pottery Barn Kids and fell in love:

Who wouldn't? That thing is CUTE!!
So she decided to make her own:

I think it is perfect! And the old basket she used lends itself to being a centerpiece for the big kids table too! You can read all about it HERE. I am just sad that she bought the place mats because I was hoping for a tutorial on those too!
