Lace Votives [Halloween Centerpiece]

Black Lace Votives from Suzonne Stirling of Urban Comfort

Lace Votives

I saw another crafty idea that uses lace over on Bliss Bloom Blog.  This time with a balloon and some fabric stiffener you can turn a piece of lace into a votive:

I think Martha used regular candles, but part of me feels like fire, fabric, and fabric stiffener might not be the best combination.  I might go with an LED candle light.

You can see the tutorial over on Martha Stewart.

Lace Heart Garland

Michelle used the magic of Mod Podge to turn lace into this beautiful lace heart garland:

Now I am torn between the paper heart garland, the photo heart garland, and this lace heart garland.  Too many choices and not enough time between Christmas and Valentine's Day.  I vote we mote the holiday to the end of February to give us more time to enjoy it!

You see the tutorial for this one over at Michelle Made Me.

Pom Pom Bib Necklace

I have been having crazy internet connection drama that hopefully was fixed by the very nice gentleman that Ruby referred to as the TV man for three hours today.

For the last week I have been reading blogs and blogging with lightning speed trying to get it done before my connection would decide to quit.  In all the confusion I meant to blog about this really cute necklace I saw over at The Creative Crate:

This cute fabric pom pom bib necklace was made by Little Miss Momma.  In my rushed blog reading I though that Ashley had given it to Stacie as a gift, but Stacie was actually suggesting it as a last minute gift to give for Christmas.

I blame it on the internet connection.

It wasn't until I saw this cute version over at Pumpkin Pie Crafts that I realized there was a tutorial over at Little Miss Momma:

So if you are heading to a blog conference this month...say in Nashville, and you are looking for something cute to wear, you might want to head over and see how easy it is to make this super cute necklace.

Or you might want to make her lace version:
