Plantable Valentine

So I have posted about a million printable valentines, but this is the first PLANTABLE Valentine I have shared:

Amy made these cute valentines  with homemade paper that she added wildflower seeds to.  Once the holiday is over and the weather has warmed up, you can plant them and wildflowers will grow!

You can see how to make your own plantable valentines over at Positively Splendid.

Tiered Terra Cotta Plant

I have always loved cute little terra cotta planters full of gorgeous greenery or flowers.  But living in Arizona all my life, what was in the pot usually stayed pretty for 2.5 seconds.  That is one thing that is better in Texas.  There is a lot of green and it seems to stick around for a while.  Which makes me love this idea from Positively Splendid even more:

Part planter, part house number, and completely cute, you can get the tutorial, that I found at Creation Corner,  HERE.

And she let all the utensils play, not just the spoons:

Pitcher to Planter

Hayley the Handmade Housewife from found this at a thrift store:

And used it for this:

And now I am wondering how many thrift stores I will have to visit to find like a dozen of those!

Pretty Pots

Pretty up some plain terra-cotta pots with paint:

The people at Ladies Home Journal painted regular terra-cotta gardening pots (the really inexpensive kind) with a coat of latex paint and then decorated them by adding designs in dots with a paint pen. Pretty easy and it makes a HUGE difference!
