Bacon Mancakes
Have you ever had a bacon pancake? There is a restaurant in Arizona called Liberty Market and if you are ever in Gilbert for breakfast you should head over and get yourself a stack of them. There is a pancake place here in Austin, Kerbey Lane, that sells what I think might be the best pancakes in the world. They don't have a bacon pancake on the menu and I might have to talk to someone about that.
So I have had bacon pancakes. But when I saw this picture of Beer and Bacon Mancakes from Betty Crocker I was curious to find out what a bacon MANcake was:
These pancakes are made with brown sugar candied bacon and beer. You use Bisquick, but replace the milk with beer and add in some candied bacon. I am going to use my favorite buttermilk pancake recipe, but the brown sugar candied bacon is definitely worth a try! I also think the mug idea is worth trying too. I am pretty sure my kids would think a mug of pancakes for breakfast was really cool.

Father's Day French Toast
Last week I went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Lou La, my sister-in-law and her daughter. On the way we were talking about a church camp out they were planning and the breakfast that her husband would be serving. It included french toast. But not just any french toast.

You take this:

And instead of dipping it in a batter made from egg and milk, you dip it in this:

And then you cook it (with a little butter on the skillet). And then you eat it. And it is fabulous. But please don't put syrup on it. Because I am pretty sure it will kill you if you put syrup on it.

Father's Day Pancakes
Kendra from My Insanity has a really cute idea for Father's Day breakfast:

I need to add these pancakes to this list of ways to use squeeze bottles. Look at all the fun shapes Kendra made:

When I saw them I figured she had a mold to make tie shaped pancakes, but she actually just used a squeeze bottle to draw pancake shapes onto the pan. A squeeze bottle like this:
