One Table, Two Desks

I am looking for ideas for an art desk for Lou and I love this idea from Nicole that I found on The Pleated Poppy:

That is half of a dining room table. And this is the other half:

She cut a table in half and made two work tables out of it! I love it! Now I have to talk my mom into giving me the table that is in her backyard.

What a super idea! Another good desk/table idea is to lay an old door down on sawhorses or some other sort of pedestal. I've seen this done so cute -- Anthropologie also does this to display dishes.

Can you believe that yesterday was the first time I have ever been in an Anthropologie store! Until about a month ago I had NO IDEA they sold more than clothes!

Love this! I was eyeing an old table in the yard of a neighbor down the street forever. I know that sounds bad - it was next to a workshop, so not trashed up or anything. I never worked up the courage to ask for it - it was obviously not being used. So, you have to ask for the table you want. Let me live vicariously through you. LOL

I CANNOT believe you just went in to Anthropologie. It is a little slice of Heaven. I miss it so! I don't have one near me now. ;(

Kacey, there is a dresser that has been sitting on the front porch (on its side) down the street from me for about two weeks. I don't know the people, but I am tempted to ask them if I can have it! It would be so cute painted pink for the girls room.

It might be too big though...I might have to sneak up to their porch and measure it! ;D

And I thought Anthro only sold clothes. My SILs have shopped there FOREVER! It wasn't until PW gave away the flower measuring cups that I even knew they sold more than clothes! I wanted every one of their "fixtures"
