Korker Cake Banner [4th of July]

Korker Cake Banner from Sweeter Than Sweets

Tricia from Sweeter Than Sweets has a great tutorial to make this fun cake bunting out of corkscrew ribbon.  So fun for the 4th of July or any other celebrations.

You can check out the tutorial for this cake banner over at The CSI Project.

4th of July Celebration Decorations

Patriotic Streamers from Lisa Storms

Lisa Storms just shared her fun 4th of July party decorations over at Fiskars today and it includes my three favorite party decorating elements.

Streamers, a cake bunting, and a pennant garland!

Check them all out over at Fiskars.

Patriotic Cake Bunting

Patriotic Cake Bunting from Better Homes and Gardens

This fun cake bunting idea looks great with the red, white, and blue, just like the traditional patriotic bunting.   But would be great in pink or yellow, or any other color too.  And all you need are crepe paper streamers and some string.

You can see the full tutorial HERE.

Patriotic Pie Pennant

Pie Pennant from Her Royal Heinous, Queen Bee

Why should cakes have all of the fun!  I love this patriotic pie pennant garland from Her Royal Heinous that I saw over on Pizzazzerie.  The entire budget friendly patriotic party is beyond cute.  You can check out the rest of it HERE.

Paper Airplane Cake Garland

Paper Airplane Cake Bunting from Caroline Armelle

Caroline threw an amazing airplane themed party for her son.  The party had so many of my favorite details.  Maps, globes, pennants, and of course my absolute favorite party trend, bake bunting.  For the airplane party she made the bunting from miniature paper airplanes.

You can check out the paper airplanes and all of the other amazing details of this party over at Armelle The Blog.

Mother's Day Cake Bunting {Free Printable}

Printable Mother's Day Cake Bunting from Wonder Woman Creations

I was over at Free Pretty Things For You and I saw these cute free printables from Wonder Woman Creations.  For Mother's Day she created a printable cake garland.  I am excited just typing it.

And you have a choice between Happy Mother's Day and I Love You.

And I think they would be SO CUTE in a giant stack of pancakes too.  Don't you?

You can download both of them HERE.

Papel Picado Straw Flags

Papel Picado Inspired Straw Flags from Cupcakes and Cutlery

A couple of months ago The Hubby and I took the kids to the local children's museum.  They had a Mexican history exhibit and one of the displays was all about Papel Picado.

I immediately fell in love.  These beauties are all hand cut out of tissue paper.  Luckily, since I don't have the talent, I have a Silhouette!

But even if you don't, you can use punches to create a miniature version like this cake bunting:

Or my new favotite, these straw flags.

Head over to Cupcakes and Cutlery to see how to make straw flags of your own.

Cake Bunting Round Up

Ruffled Cake Banner from Dandee

I am still madly in love with the cake bunting trend, and it has finally collided with the ever so popular ruffle thanks to Dandee.

And in case you haven't followed my love of cake bunting, here are a few others I love.  You can click the picture to see the original post.

Cake Garland

Ohdeedoh posted about this cute UP inspired party:

And if you look closely, there is a new take on the cake pennant garland:

Instead of pennants they used stamps!  This cake garland idea just keeps getting better and better!  You can see the rest of the images from this party HERE.

Cupcake Bunting

I fell in love with this from The Decorated Cookie:

Because if it is good enough for a cake:

It will be even cuter on a cupcake:

You can see how Meaghan made this cute cupcake bunting HERE.

Cake Bunting

See this really cute mini pennant garland:

I found it at Design Sponge, and it belongs to this:

Well, not exactly that cake.  The bunting doesn't match, but you get the idea.   And don't you love the idea!  Little pennant flag garlands on a cake!

I am putting this on the list of possible cakes for Toot's Halloween birthday.  A purple, orange and black bunting.  Some fondant jack-o-lanterns resting against the sticks instead of the mushrooms.  Maybe the sticks will even be bones instead of just sticks.  We will have to see!

Cake Garland

Poppytalk posted about this cake from d. Sharp:

And although it is beautiful with the stamp garland, I am thinking a garland of paper hearts would be perfect.
