[Huggies] How To Swaddle Your Baby

During our stay in the hospital, Owen had to be taken to the nursery a few times for different tests. Every time the nurses brought him back, he was perfectly swaddled and would sleep peacefully. It didn't take me long to make the connection and I had one of the nurses teach me their tricks to swaddling a baby before I went home.

I actually video taped her swaddling my little guy, but she asked me not to put it on YouTube, so here is a video of me swaddling him. If your little one is having trouble sleeping, it is worth a shot! I hope it works for you!

I wish I'd seen this about 18 months ago, five kids later, never got it right! :) He is sooo cute, and his little grunts made me smile.

Swaddling works, but be careful about straightening the legs. View this video from the Hip Dysplasia experts:

I just had to comment... I swaddled my son early on (almost 9 years ago). I was given a video called "Happiest Baby on the Block" along with a swaddling blanket as a gift and it was the best gift I ever got. My son was sleeping through the night at 8 weeks. Swaddling also comforted him when his reflux was really bad. Good luck!
