Halloween Centerpieces

This year I am the chair of the committee that throws the Fall Festival at our church.  I am super excited to be throwing a gigantic Halloween party, but haven't decided on the centerpieces for the table yet.  Read that as I have too many ideas and can't make up my mind!

The real problem is that my heart is set on this:

When it doesn't really fit the group or the budget.  *sigh*  Such is life.  Maybe I will get to help decorate for a reception in the fall someday.

So back to reality I think I am going with something like this from BHG:

Except the cauldron will be a jack-o-lantern, the orange jelly beans will be candy con, and I am not sure what will be hanging from the branches yet.  Any suggestions?

Actually, I might hang candy corns on the branches, but then I would need to fill the pumpkins with something else.  Hmmmmmm.

Then again, I might just go with something in between these two ideas, like this from Organize and Decorate Everything:

Or the candy topiaries:

Will someone make up my mind for me?

I have my heart set on that pumpkin centerpiece for our wedding next fall. It's not in our budget either....

I have made that centerpiece before and it is in your budget if you are willing to not use those beautiful roses. I used fall flowers (fake)that I already had on hand and pillar candles. There are a lot of choices even at Dollar Tree!

Ashley, Maybe you could use one just on one table. Either the head table or where the guests sign the guest book. If it is on a smaller table you could even use a smaller pumpkin.

And thanks for all of the suggestions PoE. They are good ones, but I still think something more 'fun' fits the theme of the party better (since it is more of a kids thing than an adult thing). I just wish 7 year olds appreciated pumpkins with flowers more! ;D

That first picture is gorgeous. Thanks for showing my candy corn centerpiece. It's been a chore keeping that middle jar full.

I love the first one, but for a more budget friendly option, I vote for the last one...unless you have a bazillion tables to do, in which case time might be a problem, so I'd go with the apothocary jar option. :)

What about doing something like your first option with smaller pumpkins. Skip the roses and opt for much cheaper mums and fill in the arrangements with something cute like these cheap and cute paper pics from lil luna:

Kendra! I had seen those on another site and COMPLETELY forgottern about them! Those will be perfect! I think I am going to go with the pumpkin buckets, filled with candy corn, and those sticking out of it!!

At least that is what I think for now!! ;D

You could do that pumpkin one. Just use some tissue paper flowers as space filler between roses from SAMs. Buy the tissue paper in bulk.and ut would probably be cheaper than filling one with candy corn or making the haunted mansions

Should have read the comments first. If it's more for kids.... Go with candy. They will love you, parents will hate you... It's a win win situation
