Little Girl Shirt to a Knot Skirt

There are a ton of sewing tutorials that show you had to take one item of clothing, like an old dress shirt of your husband's and turn it into something new and cute.  And they are all great.  But I hav to say that this one from Simply Modern Mom is my current favorite:

Toots loves skirts and dresses with a passion.  And she really isn't all that fond of shorts.  It is getting warm and we have a million long sleeve shirts that I need to put away.  Or cut into pieces:
