Tips for Hanging Pictures (Part 2)

Last year I posted some tips on hanging pictures. My favorite one involves rolling out some butcher paper (I LOVE butcher paper...LOVE it!), arranging the pictures on the paper the way that you want them to hang on the wall, tracing the frames, and then taping the paper to to the wall so you can drive in the nails. You can check out the details HERE.

The problem is that not everyone has butcher paper in their home. You SHOULD, but even I have to admit that I don't have any right now because of the move. But Brooklyn Limestone solved that problem for me:

She used wrapping paper. I am pretty sure all of us have some wrapping paper in the house. Especially after Christmas. If you don't, I am not sure we can be friends.

Okay, we can, but I need to send you a roll of wrapping paper.

I had seen this tip on TV a while back and was just thinking about it yesterday and couldn't remember all the details. Thanks so much for the reminder. Love your blog.

hehe...you're title through me for a loop for a minute. I couldn't figure out what haning pictures was.

But I guess we can't be friends. I don't have any Christmas paper left. But I have birthday paper. Does that count?

If you go to your local newspaper office and ask for the "butt" roll, they will often give unprinted newsprint to you for free. It is the portion of the roll that they can not use. We use it for everything! Drawing, hanging picture collages, etc!

Great tip!! OH dear, if anyone needs wrapping paper they should come and get some from me. My husband counted then number of rolls we had at christmas time, and it was 38. Yes, that is Thirty Eight rolls of wrapping paper. And that count was only for Christmas wrapping paper and did not include weddings and baby showers and birthdays. I don't think I need to buy any new paper for at least 10 years. Either that, or I need to buy extraordinarily large presents for the next 3.

SUCH a good idea! I'm so glad you posted this! I was just getting ready to hang a large grouping of frames on our wall (like in the next hour) and was wondering how I'd do it. Maybe I'll make a post about it! ;)
