Pretty Pine Cone Decorations

Country Living has the most gorgeous pine cone decorations on their site. Like REALLY gorgeous. Like this garland:

and those pine cones in the urn...trrrrrrrrrrrrr (that is me trilling my tongue by he way...still not sure how to type that!)!

And more garland...this time on a tree:

Oh, and just a tree completely made of pine cones:

Pine cones are not that plentiful in these parts, and I don't imagine they are in Texas, so I might have to stick with something simple like this from For The Love of my Home:

I am pretty sure I can rustle up a half dozen pine cones and some fake snow.

These are great. This being my first Christmas as a married, non-college kid, we are BROKE and have no Christmas decorations. I have a big bag of pine cones I gathered up JUST for this purpose.

It's like you know my mind...

I made a pine cone tree (knock off of one I saw in Target this year).

I also made my own tree ornaments from pine cones and ribbon. Did an entire 'nature/country' theme on mine this year. I'm LOVING them! I have them all over for my Christmas decor.
