Photo Colage (Countdown) Calendar

Ever since my sister-in-law gave me this cute Halloween countdown calendar from Pottery Barn Kids I have fallen in love with count down calendars!

And Lou La did such a good job of moving our spooky little skeleton from day to day this year. (I opted out of candy in each pocket this year)

But I only have one for Halloween and Christmas. Which is where this calendar (Perpetual Paris) from Little Brown Pen comes into play:

First, I have to say that I love it as just a regular calendar! It is gorgeous! But it got me thinking. It would be fun to use seasonal pictures to make a count down calendar for different holidays. I could have the kids hold up their fingers while playing in leaves or wear a numbered jersey while watching football. Then I could use them to make a countdown calendar for Thanksgiving.

I think this is a project for the new house!

PS - if you love the Perpetual Paris calendar in the picture, you can buy one HERE.

That is rad! The wheels are turning- somehow I've got to be able to do that for myself. . .

I love advent calendars. I posted about our homemade advent calendar (and some other lovelies from around the Web) here: http://bit.ly/3YC1W4
I am feeling a bit sheepish though. I guiltily stuffed every single pocket with treats...why didn't I think of a little cut out that could be moved from pocket to pocket???
