I always find ideas that I love and want to do, but since he does the carving, he does the choosing. Well, he and the kids choose. So hopefully I can talk one of them into these gorgeous ghosts from Parents.com:

Too bad you kind find pumpkins with cool stems like that in the grocery store! Yes, sadly we get our gourds from the grocery. No fun pumpkin patch to go to here.

I always look for pumpkins with neat stems and when I spot them, I make sure that the kids pick them up from the bottom as to not break the stems. I love these ghosts. Maybe I'll make MY pumpkin that way. ;)
There's a great pumpkin patch in Texas...maybe you should hurry up and get here...just saying!
Those ghosts are cute! Your suppose to put petroleum jelly in all your cut-outs of your pumpkin. And it's makes them last longer.I personally haven't tried it yet,but plan to this year.
Natalie,
Can put the pumpkins in the fridge or freezer during the day or at night to try to preserve them as long as possible. I don't think they will make it two weeks. at least our pumpkins seem to mold in just a few days.
Stopping over from SITS and I love these pumpkins! Love the orange glow coming out of the white skin! Perfect! Thanks for the info!
those are CUTE! I'll have to try some like that!
