Felt Pumpkin Decorating

As the mother of young children, I am always looking for fun ways to decorate pumpkins that don't require a sharp knife.

Pottery Barn has these cute sets that you can buy to decorate pumpkins:

Lindsay, from Living with Lindsay loved these cute little sets too, and they inspired her to make a set of her own:

Check out her tutorial here to see how to make a set of your own!

What a totally great idea. I was going to paint my pumkins this year, however this is way cooler!! Felt is super cheap at Walmart!!

oh how cute are those?

Great idea and the pumpkin last a lot longer - whenever we carve our pumpkins the California heat makes them moldy in a day or two... double yuck.

Love,

Even with older kids, I prefer crafts that don't involve sharp knives! :> And I have a thing for felt and fabric...

I love these and frankly I love all your posts! If you're looking for more 'no stab' pumpkin decorating ideas (I'm sure you've already these though) I've blogged about 2 that I'm doing with my little ones. Have a great day!

I saw this over at Lindsey's too. I think that would be so fun to make! I'm not really into Halloween all that much, but I think I could do some kind of variation on this with my kids. Maybe a turkey one?
