Birthday Cake French Toast

For Father's Day this year I posted about a new breakfast we tried. It quickly became a family favorite and has been moved from Father's Day to the Birthday breakfast of champions.

Today is my Lou La's birthday, so I will be making Birthday Cake French Toast. In case you missed the original post, I wanted to share it with you again. So in honor of Lou La...

You mix up a package of white cake mix:

Follow the directions as if you were going to make a cake. I actually leave out the oil, but I don't think it matters either way.

Then get yourself some bread. Texas Toast works the best:

And use the cake mix instead of the egg and milk mixture you would typically use. Cook it on the griddle and you have the PERFECT birthday breakfast. If I have time I will take a picture of it while I am making it...but I am not making any promises!

Yum, this sounds delicious. Much better than the french toast recipe I've used. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds good, and simple, I like both! Here is another one I had for my Sabrina's 6th b-day party. It was good, too. I love recipes! Hope you are having a lovely fall!!!

I have to stop reading. This is not good for my waistline and it makes me want to get pregnant so I can have more birthdays to celebrate. Dangerous stuff!
