I love it! I probably would hang it vertically (the far right not having a rung would drive me batty, but that is just me.
What items that could be considered out of the ordinary do you have hanging on your walls?

Oh, my goodness! How about an old rake, shutters, old windows, a picket fence gate and washboards. That's all I can think of right now. I'm a firm believer that almost anything can be hung on the wall!
I'm totally with you on hanging it vertical. That is the first thing I noticed when I saw the pic was the right side...maybe that's a little ocd coming out in us :0)
Thanks for all your great ideas, btw, I'm new to your blog and I think you rock! :0)
My friend Christy (http://outnumbered4to2.blogspot.com/) the one who did her own cute cute recycle shirts, did this ladder idea and it looks so much better! She put framed pictures within each run. it looks awesome. I'll have to tell her to take a picture and send it to you.
Wow that is a way cool idea! Now I need to go out and buy an old ladder. :) And you are right, I would do it vertically too because of the no-rung issue. I like things symmetrical.
Thanks so much for posting my ladder idea on your blog, I'm flattered and probably one of the most OCD people you'll ever meet. There is a story behind the cutting of the ladder and needless to say my father and hubby don't share the same OCD obsession with me. I had to roll with this one but I still love it regardless.
This is fabulous! I still have my old flea market find ladder in the garage just waiting to be put to use! I've considered hanging it but feared the littles would try climbing it. We'll see...LOL
I have old trim work I found at the flea market. And my window I turned into a vintage key holder or it could be a coat rack...then another old window with a verse..Hmmm, yes, I love old windows. :D

My Mom has the back of an old chair hanging on her living room wall. She displays old hats on it.

I don't think I have anything too weird on my walls. I do, however, have a horse trough for a coffee table.
That ladder is a great addition. I need to start copying these ideas.
