Make Your Own Bath Mat

This bathmat from Michelle Kaufmann's blog looks super comfy to step onto when you step out of the shower:

She made it with old towels and a gridded mat! She cut strips of towels, put them through the holes in the mat and tied them! If it is time to replace the towels in your bathroom it is a great way to get a new bathmat for almost nothing.

Not into recycling old towels, sometimes a new bathmat is ridiculously priced and you can find cheap towels in a color that will work for a lot less green.

You can get the directions here.

I love the way it looks -- so comfy.

I wish I had seen this idea when I first moved into my home. We bought all those rubber backed mats and they ended up leaving stains on the floor! This is a great idea :-)

Very cute. My bathtowels are all mismatched so that might be a great solution!

That's incredible. Who woulda thunk it.

Way cool project. I have lots of old clothing (t-shirts) that I should use to make this. :)
