Egg Name Cards

Yet another reason to have Egg cups! And this time it isn't even from Martha. I found these at Ladies Home Journal:

They painted a monogram onto an egg and used them as name cards. You could paint the whole name. I am trying to figure out what to use if you don't have egg cups. I am still on the look out for egg cups! (And a place to store them when I do find them!!)

Ooh, you just gave me a brilliant idea! I'm going to make some egg cups in ceramics (we don't own any egg cups either)! It'll be fun. Thanks! :)

I really feel like a loser, since I don't have egg cups. But I do have a Snuggie, so I feel that cancels each other out.

You could use TP rolls sliced and painted, or covered, for temporary egg cups. I just discovered your blog and am loving it!!!

I actually made my "placecards" last night. I put stickers on the eggs to spell out names, and then dyed them in natural dyes. I'm going to set them in my little pots of wheatgrass. That's one way around not having egg cups. I'll post it all after Easter!

I saw somewhere that you can use detergent caps as egg holders, but I don't know if you could fancy them up enough to look good enough for a table.

I found egg cups at Target a year ago in their dollar section. (But I think they were 4 for $2.) I was surprised to find them there!

Good! More egg ideas. We'll be doing ours this afternoon.

Teresa, that is a great idea! I am jealous! I bet yours will be so cute. Shoot me a picture when you make them.

Kristina, I am pretty sure a snuggy makes you much cooler than an egg cup would. You would need at least three dozen egg cups to equal the coolness of one snuggie.

Thanks Penny. And that is a great idea. Of course there are still all those other Martha egg cup ideas!

Kendra, I can't wait to see them!

One year I used round "crystal" napkin rings as my egg cups. Just laid them flat on the table and stood my decorated egg up in them at each place setting.

After multiply posts on Easter, I have decided I need to buy egg cups. They are amazingly cute!
