Cupcake Carrier

I went to Costco today. I try to stay on a strict budget when I am in Costco because I can't seem to walk out of the place for under $100. And that is when I am only going for just milk and bread. So I try to take cash instead of my debit card. That way I have no choice but to stay under the $100 limit and I don't walk out with a new playground set or something crazy. There is just so much stuff that looks so good when you get there!

So I went. With my cash.

And it took me about 2 minutes in Costco before I found something that I HAD to have that wasn't on the list:
It is a Cupcake Carrier (actually a 3 Tier Snap N Stack Cupcake, Cookie, Cake Carrier) from SnapWare. I have been obsessing about a cupcake carrier since The Boy's last birthday. I have no good way to store or transport cupcakes when I make them. It drives me crazy. And this is the best one I have seen. It comes with 3 tiers, so it will hold 36 cupcakes. But you don't have to use them all at once. You can use one at a time, or two at a time. The bottom has ridges to hold the cupcakes in place, but you can flip it over for a flat surface for cookies or a sheet cake. It is just about perfect. And it was under $17 at Costco.

So if you have been looking for one like I have and you have a Costco, RUN! Go and get one! It will make you happy.

But it wasn't in my budget for that trip.

So I didn't buy toilet paper.

That's normal, right?

I had to get a cupcake carrier for Lyd's sock hop. I had to have a way to store those adorable cheeseburger cupcakes!

hahaha! That's awesome! I totally wish there was a Sam's Club within 50 miles of us! I'd be there in a heartbeat. I wonder if I can order it online!

$17 is an excellent price for a cupcake carrier that has 3 layers. I almost bought one last year only 2 layers and I think it was around $29.

I might check out Costco for the carrier. I'd love a 3-stacker!

I just got it this week too! Did you see how the trays fold upside down to make little platforms? It's so cool! Plus you can put pies inside too.

I am so getting this! Thanks for sharing!

Jennie! I did! I love it! And there are little finger holes cut out of the side to help you put it in as a platform! I made some cake truffles with the extra cupcakes and they are sitting under and on the platform! It is heavenly!

I have a cupcake carrier, but I've been seeing more of these 3-in-1 carriers and I like them better! We don't have Costco where I live unfortunately, but I am the same as you when I go to Walmart :-)

Love the carrier...I really like the snapware containers..They are the best..When my son was little, I would make cupcakes for his class and never had anything to put them in... By the way, I love going to Costco and have never walked out the door without spending over a $100 too..I love the cupcakes they sell..You got me thinking, I might have to go buy some..Just yummy...

I always convince myself I don't need one of these UNTIL I make cupcakes for school functions etc and then I rack my brain as to how I'm going to transport them!!!! I need to just break down and buy one too. Thanks for the tip I need to go to Costco anyway, maybe I'll get out of there for under $200, doubtful :)

Laura, get one! You will not be sorry. I am still giddy! And after using it last night for all sorts of things I really do think they thought of everything!

I only wish they sold extra lids so that I could turn them into three single carriers too! Mostly for storing them in the fridge.

Yep, totally normal. ;)

I saw that the other day and I wanted it so bad! I hardly make cupcakes but I always think about making them :) I guess that doesnt justify the need.

$100 limit at Costco????? Are you crazy!!! I think I need to adopt your "cash only" rule. I just had my Costco run (didn't see the adorable cupcake holder---that now I have to have) and was WAY over the $100 mark. AHHH!!!

Noelle, I probably go to Costco 3 times a week! :X
