Lid Rack

Another great idea for inside the cupboard doors, but this one actually helps make your cupboards more organized.

The brains at Martha Stewart put a towel bar on the inside of the cupboard door, but used it to hold the lids to the pots!

Just make sure that you have solid wood doors doors before you go mounting a towel bar on them. And make sure to attach it to the outside rails.

I love this idea, but I'm always afraid the lids will be too heavy for hinges? Maybe not.

I think it depends on the type of lids you have (cast iron would be a lot worse than glass) And also the type of cabinets you have. Brand new ones are going to hold up a lot better than 50 year old cabinets.

And also it will depend on how you hang them. If you have the weight evenly distributed to both sides of the door it should be fine, but if you have them off center towards the outside of the door you could cause them to sag.

That is a great idea! Ours are glass though so I am worried about the weight. But it is a fabulous idea!!!

It would be nice to gain back the precious space now occupied by my stack of pot lids. Thanks.

Good idea, I've never found a neat way to store the lids.

Oh what a great idea. I can't ever find a good place for my lids. I get so angry with them. Thanks & keep your fingers crossed I can screw through my cabinets.

We bought a lid rack like this from Ikea for $2. It's smaller because we don't have a door big enough to hang a towel rack on but I have a large glass lid on the bottom rack and it's held up really well! I love not having lids clutter the bottoms of my cupboards!

What a great idea. My inside cupboard door is already filled with a bulletin board, but that's okay. I keep mine in that handy drawer under the stove. Mainly because I have the perfect cupboards next to it to keep all the pots and flat pans in, standing sideways.

I could kiss the designer of my kitchen!
