Leftover Decor

You can get a lot of bang for your decorating buck if you use leftover scraps. BHG made these cute pieces by framing scrapbook paper and then gluing scraps of decorative friezes, spindles, and plinth blocks to the glass using a mirror adhesive.

I don't think I would like the look of the glass under the molding. Plus you can ALWAYS find frames at thrift stores or even your own house that are missing glass! The molding is too heavy to glue to the paper (it would likely rip the paper and the molding would fall off) but if you frame a sturdy piece of chipboard behind the paper and cut out the area of the paper that will be hiding you should be able to glue the molding directly to the chipboard, or even skip the chipboard and glue it directly to the back of the frame!

AMAZING!!! I love this. I feel like I need to go to the thrift store right now and get some frames with no glass in them. Oh and I love the shirt dress thanks for that idea. We are doing a give away on my theredpolkadot if you want to check us out. Have a great night!
