Hanging Easter Eggs

I have a neighbor that hangs plastic Easter eggs from her tree in the front yard every year. It is a cute an easy decoration for outside and fun for the kids. BHG uses the same idea, but makes it a little more adult friendly by using ribbon and real eggs:

You hallow out eggs (use a pin to poke a hole in each end and then blow into one of the holes forcing the yolk and egg white out the other side), die them, and then use an embroidery needle to thread two pieces of ribbon through the egg. Tie both ends and hang!

I love this idea, it reminds me of when we lived in Georgia. They decorate many of their trees like that at Easter time. Great post.

Great idea, how nice the tree would look with them!

Have a great day!

Love it! I hung snowflakes at Christmas, I should have done hearts at Valentines but didn't so maybe I can make up for being a slacker and do the eggs for Easter

You can make the castle cake if one of your sons has a medieval knights party. Of course the castle probaly shouldn't be pink. :)

Very cute! A lot of people decorate trees with eggs here as well.

There are so many good ideas here that I don't know where to start! Perhaps with the bookends, then on to the Easter stuff. Your web site is amazingly helpful and creative!
