Easter Egg Votives

Martha can even find a use for egg shells! And this is another reason to have egg cups! (Reason number one being this post where they used them as flower vases.)

You poke a hole in the top of the egg with a needle, then break away the top of the shell and empty out the egg. (Use it for breakfast!!) Then you dye them the same way you would die Easter Eggs, put them back in the carton, place a 4 inch wire core wick inside and fill with wax.

Use the egg cup as a votive and you have a really cute decoration for Easter.

Cute Lorie.

But I have to say, it is the first candle idea that has "cracked" me up. I couldn't resist.

Love your ideas! Thank you so much for passing on all this inspiration. I have to think that the perfectly cracked egg-shell votives are a bit beyond me since I can't even properly crack eggs for recipes -- so now none of y'all will ever eat any cake that comes out of my kitchen -- but it's nice to know that they're out there!

Cathy, you could so do this!! You use a pin to poke a hole and then chip it away. It makes lots of little pieces that you chip away! Right up your alley!
