Easter Basket Liners

I got this in my latest email from Martha:

And here is her description:

Dress up storage baskets -- and make them easier to clean -- with lining cut from oilcloth, a durable and moisture-resistant fabric that requires no hemming. Simply overlap two pieces crosswise in the basket, leaving several inches of overhang on each end before cutting. Hole punch the corners, and tie in place with ribbon.

A really great idea if you are using the basket for cleaning supplies. But what if you wanted to make this liner for an Easter basket?

You could find some oilcloth that might work, but there is so much cute Spring/Easter fabric out there! To keep the edges from fraying, use a fusible tape (like Stitch Witchery) that you iron on or even your hot glue gun! If you choose a thin fabric I would recommend doubling it up (folding both sides half way under) or hot gluing the fabric in the corners to make sure the bottom stays put!

Aren't they cute! The container I hold my cleaning supplies in is definitely not that cute!
