Pink Bread

The first Pink and Red dinner I had at my in-law's house included a sandwich made with pink bread. It was a layered sandwich and it was frosted in cream cheese. It was delicious, but confusing. It looked like one big cake!

If you want pink bread for your Valentine's Day, ask the bakery at your local grocery store if they will make it for you. Or your local bakery. Or you can make your own!! Or if you forget until Valentine's Day morning then put red food coloring in milk, brush it on the bread, and then toast it. Not as pink, but it will do in a pinch!

my daughter would love this but.. it just reminds me of last week when she spilled hawaiian punch all over her plate and her sandwich turned all soggy and pink....

Diane, I promise it doesn't taste like you spilled Hawaiian punch though!

I wonder if it would work to substitute some beet juice for the water in the bread recipe???? Maybe I'll have to try it!

Melody, you will have to let me know if that works!
