How To Tie A Bow

If you are anything like me, the presents you wrap have a bow that came in a bag of multicolored Christmas bows that cost under $1. This year, I think I am going to try my hand at something a little fancier!

The Container Store has step by step tutorials on how to tie a Pom Pom Bow, and then directions on how to alter it for five different looks! Including this cute Poinsettia bow. above.

What special touch do you add to your presents? Or do you subscribe to the 'it is just going into the trash' theory of wrapping?

We travel at Christmas almost every year, so our bows would get mashed in transit. I used to add bows when we got to our destination, but truthfully, I don't always bother with every package :)

I wish I could do this! I just don't think I'm creative enough!

Sadly, the last few years have been no bows at all! The last couple, my 3rd child would rip them all off, and the year before we were travelling to CA, and I didn't want to have to worry about them getting smashed in transit.
BUT, maybe this year I will give these a shot! I've been feeling so inspired by your posts!

My wife and I use raffia to give the present an old fashioned feel.

At first I thought your post was "How to tie a Bow Tie", but I was mistaken…whew.

I just use the store bought bows. I mainly only wrap the niece's presents. Others in the family get gift cards. But that bow is really pretty!
