Holiday House

We have a tradition in our family of getting together to make gingerbread houses. Each year we drag home a house loaded with sugar and I spend the rest of the days until Christmas discussing how many pieces of candy they can eat off of the house each day.

BHG has a sugar free alternative to the gingerbread house:

The instructions for building these houses out of mat board (or chipboard) can be found here. I know my daughter would love this just as much as the gingerbread houses...if not more. My son on the other hand would miss the candy!

we always make the real houses too. But the kit kind, like from the store. I couldn't live without it. But we don't eat it. :o am I horrible? I never thought to actually tear it apart. Just assumed it would be nasty!

Cute! This is actually not one of our traditions, but sometimes I try and throw it in just because I always thought it would be fun.
