Handmade Ornaments

Image from BHG

I have seen a lot of tutorials for painting clear glass ornaments. Add a little extra touch of sparkle with some ultra fine glitter. Wait until the paint dries and then paint with a thin layer of craft glue and add the glitter!

Or ditch the glass balls all together and decorate a foam ball with sequins and pins.

Or for the beaded ball you need a papier mache ball, string, beads, and craft glue. Sting the beads into one long strand. Paint the ball a similar color and let dry. Then glue the strand of beads onto the ball in a spiral.

Or do all three. You know you want to!

The one with pins and sequins reminds me of the ornaments my mom has from before I was born. Love it.

I'm going to the craft store on Sat. Hey, do you have any pictures of a hanging felt advent calendar?

Found your website on Twitter. I love these ornaments. My grandmother made all of ours when I was a kid and they hung on our white tree every year. I only have a couple left. Thought about trying them. I think she put a pin into each sequin to place them on the ornament.
Check out my blog, if you get a chance. http://permanentposies.com
