Cookie Swap: A Christmas Miracle

Instead of posting a recipe for the Cookie Swap today, I am posting ABOUT cookies. It totally counts...right?

I am not sure if you remember my post back in October about Mother's Cookies going out of business. I am not ashamed to admit that I went to the store and purchased a package of Circus, Parade, and Taffy Cookies. We had a party and mourned their passing. I guess it would be more like shiva. But you get the idea.

Well I am happy to tell you about a little Christmas miracle. Kellogs bought Mother's recipes and will be selling their popular cookies. You can read the story here. First Tim Tams and now the return of Mother's...2009 is going to be a fattening good year!

YEAH!!! We searced several stores once it was announced they were closing...never could find our favorite cookies to enjoy one last time. What great news! I'll have to go read the story and see if/when the cookies will be out...would make a great stocking stuffer.

mmmm, I LOVE these cookies...and that is why I don't buy them. I don't even share with the kids. I eat the whole thing and keep them all to myself!

I do not know of Mother's Cookies! Which is probably a good thing, since I have eaten so many cookies since Sunday it's really heinous. I am *so* not fitting in my pants for long. Oh well...'tis the season...

Yeah! I remember reading your article about them going out of business. We ran up to the store and they had fourth of July circus animal cookies on the self. We bought the one package that wasn't expired.

It wasn't the same eating the little cookies in red and blue!
