Useful Friday Fact: Replacing Damaged Disney DVDs

I was reading a blog post today by a mom whose little boy had scratched up $200 worth of Disney DVDs. When the boy was little he LOVED putting in his own movies. Once he even decided the DVD would play better with a layer of milk, but that is another story.

We have had many a Disney DVD get damaged. But there is a neat little trick that I don't think many people know about, so I thought I would share it with you.

If you or your little one damage a Disney DVD you do not have to buy a brand new one!! Disney will replace it for you for $6.95! Here is the information from the site, or you can check it out for yourself here:

If you accidentally damage or break one of your Disney DVDs, you can get a replacement disc for a nominal charge of $6.95.

Please mail in your damaged DVD (along with DVD case and full packaging), a Check or Money order for $6.95 (made payable to WDHE), along with your Contact Information (Name, Address, and Phone Number) to:

Replacement Program
PO Box 3100
Neenah, WI 54957-3100.

It takes a couple of weeks to get the new DVD back, but they send you a brand new one all wrapped up in the pretty cellophane.

Awesome! and I guess you could send in an old one that your kids don't really like and then have an awesome new one to give away for a birthday gift :)

Super useful fact! We're not "up" on all of the Disney dvds yet - we're still stuck on Dora. But I'm hoping to grow into Disney soon. :o)
