Sequin Heart Clips

Grosgrain Fabulous made these sequin heart clips for her shoes:

But the tutorial would work for a hair clip or a pin or just about anything else you could possible want to decorate with a sequin heart.  You could even use them to make a banner!  Or napkin rings.  Or....

Christmas Tree Clippie

Maria from Agape Love has a tutorial on her blog for this cute Christmas Tree Clippie:

Such a cute little accessory for your little girl.  You could even use the same idea and attach it to a shirt instead of a clippie.  And if you don't have a little girl, or your little girl is a little too big for cute ribbon Christmas trees clippies, you could modify the tutorial to make a cute ribbon ornament.

Pinwheel Pinwheel Spinning Around

Wow a brain holds on to random stuff for a LONG time!  Lately I have been seeing a lot of cute pinwheel themed stuff floating around the web.  So all night I have had a song stuck in my head from a TV show I don't even remember watching...but I remember the song.
Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around. Look at my Pinwheel and see what I've found. Pinwheel, pinwheel, where have you been? Hello, how are you, and may I come in?  Pinwheel, pinwheel spinning around. Look at my Pinwheel and see what I found.  Pinwheel, pinwheel, breezy and bright. Spin me good morning, spin me good night.
Lucky for us, Google and You Tube were invented so that we know we aren't losing our minds, these shows actually did exist.

And lucky for you, you can click on the You Tube link and listen to the pinwheel song while you look at my pinwheel pictures.  Or not.  I completely understand if you don't want the crazy pinwheel song stuck in your head all day!

Pinwheel centerpieces from Just Deanna:

But of course, I can't find the pinwheel picture that started it all!  I hate when that happens.  But there is a gorgeous picture of a woman standing in front of a fence with a ton of pinwheels behind her.  Have you seen it?

If you want more pinwheels, you can see the other pinwheels I have posted about HERE.

Strawberry Clippies

Ruby has a pink polka dot shirt and pink skirt that she loves to wear.  Her dad told her she looked like Strawberry Shortcake, so now ever time I tell her to get dressed she wants to wear 'shortcake'.  E-V-E-R-Y day!

She is also in the stage where she doesn't want to keep clippies or piggies in her hair.  She is such a cute girl, but she has this crazy curly mullet look going on at the moment, so she REALLY needs a clippy!

I am wondering if these clippies from CJ at Pink Tea will have the 'shortcake' effect:

They actually look pretty easy to make and use ribbon that you can find at just about any store that carries basic craft supplies.  You can check out the tutorial HERE.

Popsicle Hair Clip

I am sad I didn't see these before my popsicle post on Tuesday, but better late than never!  I found these cut little popsicles from Sew Hip Mama on One Pretty Thing:

And these cute little popsicles make the perfect summer clippie:

But if you make a bunch of them and string them together they would make a cute garland too!

Hair Clips

Lou La got her hair cut short a couple of months ago for her birthday.  She immediately fell in love with headbands.  So for Christmas Santa brought her a couple dozen super cute headbands.  Also for Christmas her Aunt Stef gave her some pretty hair clips with flowers on them.  You see where this is going, right?

So she immediately fell in love with hair clips and I have been promising her for a couple of weeks that we will make some.

I wonder if she would wear one of these cute tattoo hair clips from Mary Janes and Golashes:

You can get the full tutorial (including a template) HERE and see how cute they look on her little girl.

And although this video from Custom Crops I found on WIP is for a bracelet, it would make a cute hair clip that I know Lou would wear:

And she would probably love a matching bracelet too!

The Creative Crate made these cute clips for her daughter (that you can see HERE):

And if you are more in the mood to buy some then to makes some, there are a TON of cute ones on Etsy.  Like these from Pretty Heads Boutique:

And my favorite bow seller, Santa Barbara Bows:

I know have hair clippies on the brain.  And OH MY GOODNESS there are such cute ones out there!

Flower Clips

See these pretty flowers from A Feathered Nest:

Aren't they cute in that glass! But they aren't meant to be a decoration. At least not for your house. They are for your hair:

Abby has a tutorial on her blog that shows you how to make these flower hair clips with silk flowers, a glue gun, and these clips:

They are easy and cute. And you could make a pin too! Check out her tutorial here.

Bows and Clips and Barretts

I am pretty sure that the next hobby I am going to fall madly in love with (either after my new found love of sewing has worn off or in addition to...not sure which yet) is going to be bow/clip making. So in preparation for this I bring you fabric and button barrettes:

These come from Belle and Burger. And although these aren't quite the ones I would make for Lou La (or Toots when she finally gets some hair) I love the idea!

And then there are these. These are everywhere, but I have a LOT of ribbon just about this size and I know how to make a taylored bow, so I am sure I will be making these!!

These are from Cuddlebaby on Etsy. She sells a tutorial.

In totally unrelated to bow information, but still related to the last statement, do you know how to pronounce Etsy? I have said it wrong FOREVER! It rhymes with Betsy. But I was making the E say it's name. And that just isn't right. So now you know, if you didn't already. It is highly possible that I was the only one that didn't know. But for the sake of my pride I will pretend like no one says it right and I am doing the crafty world a favor.

Back to bows.

Then there are these:

These are from Santa Barbara Bows. I think it helps you sell bows when your kids are just this stinking cute! And Katie definitely has that going for her!

I am sure there are about a million other bows/clips/headbands that I will want to make. And I am sure I will post them here. Bare with me. This too shall pass!
