Ice Cream Party Favors
I love ice cream themed parties and have shared a couple fun one with you, so I wanted to add this party favor idea to the list:
Shadetree Events decorated pint sized ice cream containers and filled them with ice cream themed goodies. Such a fun party favor idea. I am so glad I stumbled upon it over at Kara's Party Ideas.
Now the weather just needs to warm up so that we can have ice cream parties!

Ice Cream Cake
I don't really feel like baking a birthday cake (or cleaning up the kitchen after someone else bakes it) so I think we might steal this idea from Say YES to Hoboken:

I Scream Double Scoop Ice Cream Party
See these two cutie pies:
They belong to See Jane Blog. And they had a birthday. And there mom threw the cutest 'Double Scoop' Ice Cream Party for them. As if the whole twins/double scoop idea wasn't cute enough, you should SEE the party! I had a hard time deciding what my favorite thing was, but it might be these tissue paper pom poms turned ice cream cones:
Or one of a dozen things that were on the dessert table:
Look at those waffle cone bowls. Or spoons that look like ice cream cones. Or that actual ice cream cones!

Cake Truffle Ice Cream Sundae
I recently found this book, Fun Stuff Cupcakes

and inside they have this fun treat:
The miniature waffle cone has a cake truffle inside and is topped with a scoop of ice cream and decked out like a sundae. Such a fun idea! Makes me want to have a party!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
I have seen this image floating around blog land for about a week:
but could never figure out the source of the actual recipe. Now I know it is Woman's Day, so I can tell you to go check it out HERE.
I love that they used wafer cookies to make the cones! and I think instead of the the frosting ice cream on top you could even make a flat version of a cake pop. Then it is like two treats in one!

Sundae Bar Made Easy
Instead of setting up an elaborate sundae bar outside for a party (where the ice cream will probably melt before people decide which toppings they want to load on top of their dessert) you can use this idea from Country Living and add the toppings to the cone before the party:
Just dip the cones in melted white or milk chocolate and roll in toppings. Marshmallows, coconut flakes, chopped nuts, crushed cookies, candy chips, or sprinkles and let the guests scoop up their ice cream of choice.
