Follow and Feature Link Up

So I am putting up an impromptu link party of sorts.  Not my usual Show & Tell Saturday link party where you show everyone your favorite post from the week (that will still be available Saturday morning bright and early).  This one is different.

Most of you probably know that Google Reader went the way of the Dodo last month.  What you may not know is that I was madly in love with Google Reader.  I had been using it for years and years, I actually had three separate accounts, and followed thousands (and I really mean THOUSANDS) of blogs.  I know there are alternatives and I am using a few of them right now to try to find the one that will be the best fit for me, but the truth is that at the moment I am not super in love with any of them.

Maybe I am still in the denial phase of my grief.

The loss of Google Reader has really effected the way that I blog.  Add to that the relaxed schedule of Summer and trying to sleep train a 9 month old baby that has yet to sleep through the night (never once in his entire life has he slept more than 3 1/2 hours) and I am having a bit of a blogging identity crisis!

So...long story short.  I am trying some new things in order to get myself ready for my absolute favorite blogging time of year and to get myself inspired to make some changes that have been on the horizon for a long time.  That is where you and this link up come in to play.  If you would like to be considered for regular features on my blog, have me subscribe to your blog, and have me follow you on all of your social media channels, please add your blog homepage to the link list below.  Over the next few weeks I will be adding all of the blogs below to whatever new 'reader' I decide will be my new sidekick and I will make sure I am following you on Twitter, Facebook, Google +, Instagram, Pinterest, and whatever social media site pops up between now and then!

And if you are looking for some fun new blogs to check out, you can look through the list yourself!

Here is to a fun Fall (as soon as we are done enjoying our Summer!

PS - If you aren't already, I would love for you to follow me on all those fun social media sites too!

I spend around 18 hours online, mostly reading blogs and linking to parties - have tried most alternatives to the Google Reader but have finally decided on Feedly which is great. Thanks for this linky, Lorie!

I'm right there with you - I absolutely LOVED Google Reader and I feel lost without it - so let me know what you find, because I need some direction in my blog reading!!

I use bloglovin and really like it. Bit I agree my comments and traffic are suffering.

I'm still in mourning over Google Reader. Dropping Reader was a belittling gut shot to EVERY blogger and honestly, the whole debacle makes me so much less trusting of anything Google introduces - after all, why would I wanna fall in love with Google Documents or Google Glass when I know that they may opt to nix either of those on a whim?

I'm quickly cozying up to Feedly, but it's still not quite my old beloved Reader.

I signed up for bloglovin, but getting email updates is still my favorite way to keep up with most blogs, including yours. :)

Feedly is very good and I'm pretty used to it by now. I still miss Google Reader. It was so easy! Everything I needed was right there! But Feedly has filled a hole in my internet soul. water damage Austin

I use bloglovin' and I find that I really like it to keep track of all the blogs I like to follow. Having everything in one place and not receiving lots of emails really makes life easier. That being said, I miss Google Reader and am frankly shocked that Google did away with it.

Yes, life gets so crazy and keeping up with all the social media changes is crazy. I do like Feedly and it's layout and I can keep up with it so much easier on my phone.
