DIY Industrial Wood Valance from Life We Live 4
but then I got sucked into the spiral of fun ideas, like this DIY reclaimed wood valance that Elizabeth used in her nursery over at Beauty for Ashes.
And the industrial wood valance pictured at the top from Life We Live 4. And then if you move away from wood for a second, there is this fun and crafty scrap fabric valance from Favorite Things that probably won't work in my dining area, but could be cute in my craft room.
Or this pieced quilt square valance where each square is displayed with a hanger from Tallgrass prairie Studios. There are a lot of fun things you could hang in their place too. And it would be easy to switch out for every holiday. Plus it reminds me of one of my favorite ideas, hanging photos with vintage hangers.
The Polished Pebble killed two birds by displaying her vintage whisk broom collection over a window in her laundry room. I am trying to think of other fun 'collections' to display that way.
But what I think I have finally fallen in love with is a repurposed wood, DIY, painted sign valance from At Home On The Bay. It doesn't hurt that it is painted with You Are My Sunshine. I will have to run this by the hubby and see what he thinks and figure out what I would do with something twice that length to fit over our double windows.
If you have any great ideas on your blog for a DIY valance, I would love to add them to my draperies, curtains, and valances Pinterest board! Feel free to email me a link or leave it in the comments!
