DIY Pumpkin Decorating

Just over a week ago I was invited by Michaels to attend a blogger event.  It took place at the same time and location as their management training and we were able to get a sneak peak at all of the new releases that will be appearing in your local Michaels stores for the holiday crafting season.

There is more to come on all of the fun stuff I saw, not to mention getting to meat and craft with Jo Pearson (Michaels Creative Expert and judge of TLCs Craft Wars), her staff, and all of the fabulous people from Michaels that put on the event.

One of my favorite booths was from DCWV.  They had all of their fun Halloween goodies on display and I love these pumpkin carving ideas.  My favorite is right on tow with the moon and bats!!

I also love the pumpkin wrapped in an old sweater.  The fun spider makes it perfect for Halloween, but switch that out and you can keep this guy around until Thanksgiving.

And the fun faces are a great project for younger kids to decorate pumpkins. Let them make the eyes and mouth and you can help them stick them in and glue them on to the pumpkins, real or faux.

Only 71 more days until Halloween!!!
