Pie Crust from The Story of Kat
I used to make pies with my grandmother growing up. In reality what I did was get in her way until she was done making the pie, and then I would roll out the unused dough, gut it out with cookie cutters, cover them with cinnamon and sugar and eat them all once they were baked.
I am almost a little ashamed to admit that I have never baked a pie with my kids. They have never gotten to make pie crust cookies. That is just a crime. I love this pie from The Story of Kat because it is basically covered in pie crust cutouts. Perfect for the kids to help with.
So baking a pie together is definitely on the to do list this year, and I am going to have to borrow Kat's crust idea.

I love this, I've been wanting to try this for so long, maybe this is the year.
It looks beautiful
That is such a fantastic idea! Looks like I need to invest in a set of cookie cutters before the holidays hit! Thanks for the tip!
Stunning pie! I haven't made a homemade pie in years.
Wow I wouldn't want to eat it!
